BuddyRevell 03-04-06 02:22 PM

You really should add Deathstalker II to the poll.

JumpCutz 03-04-06 02:22 PM

The Godfather, Part II

Libby 03-04-06 02:43 PM

A lot of those sequels were good. My vote goes to X2 or the Empire Strikes Back.

DaveCole 03-04-06 02:53 PM

Why no Highlander 2? The best sequel ever!!!!!

From the choices given, The Empire Strikes Back. I've seen too much support of T1 over T2 (me included) and GFII isn't as perfect as GFI (the Pacino parts were sub-par, it's not even from the book) while Empire isn't just the best Star Wars movie, it's what happens when you give a saturday matinee film ground-breaking ILM effects, a character-driven director and a Ray Bradbury-level scifi/fantasy noted writer, it destroys all boundaries.

This was a tough call, because I love Empire Strikes Back, but the Back to the Future series has always been my favorite trilogy! My vote is really for Back to the Future II and III together, as they are really just one script expanded into two films. But even if it were just II, it just went into such a different type of film than you would expect. While some might say that the focus on 1955 was retread, I feel as if it was a genius device to not only create some technically marvelous special effects sequences (involving Marty working around the other version of himself), but also a way to have all of the great characters we loved from that era back into the fray. It's a dark, yet increasingly fun adventure, that to me heightens what was done in the first film and more than keeps up with it!

Aliens

No other movie has given me heart palpatations when leaving a film and brought my back to see it again.

inri222 03-04-06 06:21 PM

Since there was no Ivan The Terrible Part II
I'll go with The Godfather Part II

DeanoBKN 03-04-06 06:41 PM

Terminator 2

Cameron 03-04-06 06:59 PM

In truth though, either ALIENS or Empire.

onebyone 03-04-06 07:55 PM

Evil Dead 2, but since it is not up there, I voted for Aliens.

Johnny Boy 03-04-06 09:03 PM

This was a really really really really difficult choice. The Godfather, Part II.

TheNightFlier 03-04-06 10:18 PM

Empire Strikes Back.

OldBoy 03-04-06 10:29 PM

i choose "The Godfather" Part II ,but you can't discount the one that ruled them all at the Oscars... "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King". Don't forget a sequel doesn't necessarily mean the 2nd in a franchise.

dcswirl 03-04-06 10:50 PM

Lethal Weapon 2 needs to be on the list.

PopcornTreeCt 03-04-06 11:43 PM

Kill Bill Volume Deuce.
