Arnold isn't a great actor, he's a great star!

Me too. As much as i like "Last Action Hero" i wish it didnt fall apart halfway into "the real world".

And by falling apart i mean "turning into the kind of movie it was making fun of".

Everything before that point is so great though.

"Eraser" is the last Ah-nuld movie that i thought was done well.

"End of Days" of was lacking and "The 6th Day" really just made me wanna watch "Total Recall".

Random Arnold line:

"I warn you I get sick. Car sick, air sick. And I'm going to throw up all over you!"

"That's OK. On this shirt it won't show."

Action actors are singled out because they are in action, but if they make you believe in characters, like Stallone did with Rambo/Rocky, Arniie and Bruce did with their characters, they deserve a seperate oscars for entertainment award, pop corn flicks etc.

I'm a big Arnie fan, and he's left a void in action, the old Arnie, Bruce and Sly days, action's golden era, appreciated more as time goes on.

How true this is.

I still have my fingers crossed that The Rock will pick the right kind of movie and bring in a new generation of action movie greatness.

they were real STARS, in the truest sense.

i had an old, battered vhs copy of Conan the Destroyer that i watched so about every week when i was a kid. i could barely read the titles eventually. die hard, predator and T2 are among my all-time faves.

no, arnold is not a good actor (unlike bruce and sly), but he is a great STAR.

I'm a huge arnold fan best action films consisently up to and including Eraser. Than batman and robin, end of days and 6th day were all weak. though i liked terminator 3 alot. Bruce is great and stallone has had his moments rambos, cobra, rocky cliffhanger, but arnold is the best.
What drives me crazy now a days most action movies star hot looking chicks that my 13 year old nephew could kick their butt. now i like hot lookin chicks in tight outfits shooting guns but enough already, we new some more believeable action film stars. the best action films of recent memory were bourne identity and bourne supremacy. brad pitt in troy and mr and ms. smith was okay. vin diesel and the rock have had their moments diesel more then the rock who still has not found the perfect action vehicle yet. We need more action movies in general give me action. Nic cage hasn't done a real action movie in a long time, national treasure was maybe an adventure but not an action film.

He had charisma and that is what counted. Yeah, alot of his movies weren't the best, and they didn't have the biggest of budget, but we still liked him.

Pumping Iron, which can be had for around $5 at most walmarts is a really good pickup.
Lots of good stuff in there.

The '80s was the golden decade for Arnold.
Get to the choppa!!!
Predator i've seen over 200 times before stopping count. It is a perfect organism of an action/horror/sci-fi combination. I noticed it gradually starts as action, then stronger horror elements, and finally no-hiding science fiction.

Love Most of Arnie Movies:

T1, T2 and T3
Predator
Total Recall
Twinns
Jingle All the Way
True Lies
Kindergarten Cop
Conan
The 6th Day (Not his best, but it was fun)
Collateral Damage (not great, but a little fun)
Batman and Robin (Some hate it, but I liked it)
Eraser
Junior (A real different side of Arnie)

If it's got the commentary with Verhoven and Arnold then get it.

Its a pretty cool commentary, and you'll be amazed at how much more you can understand Arnold when you compare him to Verhoven.

BTW, Verhoven is one wacky dude.

I'm out of ideas for random Arnie quotes, someone help me out.

Perhaps we need an English to Ah-noldese translator?

Type in what you want to say in english, click a button and *BAM* instant Arnold line!

Example:

English: Who are you?

Arnoldese: "Whooo da hell ahhh you?
