Very well stated. I was going to post something similiar. I think it's ridiculous to use political reasons in selecting recipients. I used to take the Golden Raspberries as a fairly accurate barometer for film value, but not after these selections. And it's not that I'm Republican, it's just using the awards as a podium for personal politics. They've whored-out their own awards. Pathetic choices!

I'm no big fan of Bush, but the fact that so many members of The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation decided to let their political subjectivity overrule their supposed love of film and award the subjects of a political documentary with "worst actor" awards is fairly pathetic. I myself absolutely hate, loathe, and despise Bush with an intense white hot burning passion. I wish the mother-fucker where dead, I hate him so much. But that aside, I agree that it is pathetic and reveals an obvious agenda to award him with worst actor in a film. Love the man or hate the man, he could not have been all that bad of an actor if 50+ million people put him back in the White House. I guess the razzie people never got around to checking out that damnable Riddick film.

Well, the more important point is he's not an actor, and really has no relevance whatsoever to this award show or topic. Granted the razzies are a goof, but it's better to stay within the realm of humor that people look to this thing for, instead of turning into something it is not.

Poor Master Shake keeps posting. It had him on the main page as the last person to post in this thread. So, there should be a gap between the post number above mine, and this one.

Wilson said he was able to finance the theater for this year's awards by selling the 'Razzie" that Ben Affleck broke in half after being handed it on "The Larry King Show" for "Gigli."

I can understand people not liking Tom Cruise after last year's public explosion, but his performance in War of the Worlds was perfectly fine. Certainly not anything close to worst actor.

HAHAHAHA... excellent! I agree with most of these, except the hate for House of Wax which I thought was enjoyable and Tom Cruise WAS excellent in War of the Worlds...it's just popular to hate the guy. Other than that, great razzie picks.

Good call on Katie Holmes in Batman Begins. She sleptwalked her way through that otherwise excellent movie.

No worst Director??? I know Uwe Boll would probably win and with all the hate for Alone in the Dark it should be on the Worst picture list also. Don't feel House of Wax or Duece Bigalow should be there in the worst picture catagory.

i agree 100%.... dukes of hazzard blows only because jessica simpson is not featured in more scenes.... she should be the main actress in the movie that's about the only reason it's worth seeing it
