Re: 2016 Razzie Nominations
How on earth did Fan4stic not have an actor in the bad actor category. I know they are in the combo but all of them should have been in actor (or actress) category. It was easily the worst "acted" movie of any of the choices of there.
It should clean sweep the entire show. It was easily the worst big budget/known movie of last year. Just horrid with not one thing good about it.

I haven't seen the latest Chipmunk movie, but Jason Lee, and the movie itself seems like an odd choice among everything else. You know going in it's not going to be high art and "it's a kid's movie." Whereas all the other nominees had a higher bar they were shooting for...well except for Blart 2.

2022 Razzie Nominations Celebrating the worst in film
Maybe Affleck was the weak link in the Last Duel
Maybe Channing Tatum will get one for Dog if that is not eligible this year.
Surprised Amy Adams got nominated and I thought she was a great actress.

Fuck the Razzies. Stupid meaningless "awards" from a garbage organization. Don't give them any attention.

The razzies used to be kind of amusing, but at some point in the last few years they feel like theyve turned into just trolling, and theres plenty of that out there already. 🧐

Re: 2022 Razzie Nominations Celebrating the worst in film
From Wikipedia
. The Razzies have received criticism, including from news sources such as Indiewire [62] and The Daily Telegraph,[63] for several issues, including that members of the Golden Raspberry Foundation are not required to watch the nominated films,[62] it follows different set of rules[62] which is different from the invitation-only Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.[64] Critics take issue with the Razzies picking "easy targets" and critically panned mainstream films instead of those perceived as less popular but more deserving productions,[65] continuing to appeal to celebrities, seemingly for publicity and attention, over other, worthier films and performances.[62]
Sam Adams of Indiewire has said the Razzies are "like hecklers hurling insults at comedians or a concertgoer yelling out 'Whoo!' during a quiet song, they're not-so-secretly crying out to be noticed. The Razzies, properly enough, avoid pouncing on the little guy; they don't trash no-budget indies no one has seen for having bad lighting or terrible sound".[62] Robbie Collin of The Daily Telegraph has said "the Razzies' ongoing failure to train its sights on anything but the most obvious targets means it grows more tired and redundant by the year".[63] CraveOnline's William Bibbiani stated that the Razzies follow "a cheap shot of pranksterism", and "with only a handful of exceptions, only seen fit to nominate the most infamous movies of the year, and not necessarily the worst."[65] In 2018, Scott Meslow, writing for GQ, accused the Razzies of being "pretty lazy, very sexist, and a little racist" in their choices, reiterating criticism that voters were overreliant on films already widely perceived as notorious, and further asserting they disproportionally nominated films directed by and starring Tyler Perry and films marketed towards women.[66]

Yeah, Im aware of what the Razzies are (or have become) I agree with the previous poster who said theyve basically turned into trolls instead of good-natured ribbing. It seems like every year they set their sights on one or two actors/movies and take what should be light-hearted fun and make it feel like bullying.

Runaway, I finally googled for a youtube of her speech and for the first time watched her acceptance speech and holy cow, she was way beyond the definition of a great sport about this. If only more people pulled a Bullock, then instead of saying eff the Razzies it could have evolved into a highly rated prime time awards show event.

I think it's funny when people take the Razzies or the Oscars seriously.
And, yes - the Razzies seek attention... that's kind of the point.
The Oscars aren't much different... they try SOOOOOO hard to stay relevant. Every year the ratings drop and they scramble to find ways to make people care.
They expanded the number of Best Pic nominations to 10. It'll probably be up to 15 in a few years. They'll probably be adding categories like "Best Action Picture", "Best Superhero Film" and "Best Amateur Film Shot on a Smartphone".
Nevermind all the different ways they try to change the presentation of how they pat themselves on the back.

The Oscars tried adding "Best Popular Film" or something like that a few years back, but dropped it after everyone hated the idea.

Voters SHOULD be required to have seen the nominated films before voting on them- I've heard that Oscar voters haven't been for a while which is why I've lost interest in those. I'm all for celebrating bad movies but it's not fair to bash movies one hasn't seen- I've seen all of Gigli ferchrissakes!
The Razzies blew it last year when their Worst Picture award went to something that wasn't a movie at all, but an online video called "Absolute Proof" that was never shown in theaters nor even meant to be- it was a tirade from the MyPillow guy about how Trump was the rightful winner of the last election. I tried to watch it but it was just too boring and had a lower production value than most infomercials. Yes it's insane but an actual MOVIE should have won that award.
The OP left out this year's Worst Picture nominees, here they are:WORST PICTURE
