Well, why don't they stick to poking fun at Hollywood then? Last I check, GWB and company are not actors, have nothing to do with Hollywood or the movies, and have no place hoarding the attention in a list about bad movies.

It changes the entire focus of the razzies from that of making fun of crap movies and turns it into a lame political bash on the president.

Though, I've never been too fond of the razzies. They jump too easily on the I hate so and so person bandwagon, and just nominate them for everything they were in, regardless of the quality or content. This year, they obviously have something against Ben Stiller, who, well, I have no idea why he's in there, save for Envy. They do it every year, reason why I just don't find them funny. It takes more than saying "HAHA I don't like you, you suck!" to make the funny. That's lame 2nd grade humor.

I think the idea of worst of the year nominees is an amusing idea...but you really have to have at least some perspective and intelligence behind what you're saying before I'll think it's good comedy.

Thank you. In all honesty, many years from now when Bush is long gone from the White House, the movie will be a major document to illustrate the division of the country during this time period.

I will agree that they love to bandwagon a lot. I remember the year they put The Phantom Menace on their list. Was it truly that bad? Not really, but since the hip thing to do was bash it they nominated it anyway.

Contrary to popular belief, despite his cameo in Anchorman and his role in Dodgeball; everything else he did this year pretty much sucked. Envy, Along Came Polly, and Starsky and Hutch were TERRIBLE films and Meet the Fockers was average at best.

Don't let it bother you so much (and I'm saying that in a calm way). Clearly there is little to no thought put into it anyway.

If it makes you feel any better, I really liked The Village.

Ha, well, hopefully no one actually gets worked up over something like this. I don't think any of us will be starting a letter writing campaign or anything.

But since the razzies are all about saying who sucked in movies, it's only fair we come on here and say who sucks in awards (that would be the razzies...though I'd add those horrible Spike video game awards right next to it).

Nominating Bush, et al? Sorta amusing.

Seeing a lot of uptight people carping about so trivial a thing as the Razzies - funny as hell.

I was disappointed there was nothing for Van Helsing.

At least Kate Beckinsdale should have had a Razzie nomination.....

I thought the annual tradition was for these noms to come out the day after the Oscar noms? Or am I just remembering incorrectly?

It's these people who need to get over it.

It's still very chic to bash Bush and company, but I thought that the dogpile on Affleck was over. Guess not.

Like they do when faced with any criticism or difference of opinion. They IGNORE it.

I've been saying the Razzies were lame for years now for the reasons above..
The Bush thing doesn't alter my opinion of it in the least.

I think putting all the political figures in there just comes off as kind of lame.

And the only one I don't agree with is Ben Stiller. I thought he was pretty funny in Anchorman and Dodgeball. Haven't seen him in the other stuff.

Pathetic.
That's the whole thing, it is supposed to be fun, that's why I clicked on the thread to check it out.

But 3 different politicians, in 4 different categories, from 1 so-called "documentary"? It doesn't sound like the people who made this list are having very much fun themselves - they are too busy still stewing in their angry agenda.

God, just let it go already, you'll all sleep better.

I enjoyed alexander quite a bit, and i don't think collin farrel should be on the list, as he did a god role in alexander. I would keep angelina jolie on that list, she was bad for the movie.

Perhaps. And yet there's no groundswell of outrage over the Britney Spears nomination.

How amusing that the same Bush supporters who screamed how F911 was pretty much fiction and definitely NOT a documentary are now in here claiming that the people in it can't be considered for a made-up, humorous, acting award. Classic.

Ha, well I was the first one to make note of that inclusion. And I certainly was not anyone who thinks Moore is the anti-christ. I don't agree with Moore's opinion, but I think his film still flows well and at times is mildly entertaining. I would be just as annoyed to see it included as worst picture, as that's just the opposite political bias. Basically, F 9/11 doesn't have any place in this list at all. It has nothing to do with "bad movies."

I think the razzies can be stupid fun...making fun of bad movies. When half the nods in there have nothing at all to do with bad movies, bad acting, bad anything related to movies, don't you think it kind of changes the intent of the humor? I don't find a lot of bush bashing particularly funny, some of it is, some of it not. Here, well, it's not really.

Would you find it amusing if they had placed Michael Moore as worst actor? Or fattest actor? They should be talking about things like Van Helsing and Catwoman, that's what the razzies are about.
