Marty will be my first 1/6th scale figure and I can't wait till he gets here. I have lots of busts and collectibles but until I saw that Marty figure I wasn't willing to give Sideshow THAT much cash all at once.

Flex pay is a good option that Sideshow offers. You can buy a figure on a payment plan rather than dropping one large lump sum.

I really like the CA First Avenger suit. I'm guessing I'm going to have to hunt it down on Ebay.

Some of those older figures get pretty pricey. Also I know that with the older Captain America figures a bunch of them had issues with the paint on the shield flaking. The newer ones don't do that as far as I'm aware. Hot Toys switched to diecast shields and whatever paint they're using seems to hold stronger to the diecast.

Also Hot Toys just revealed pictures of Thanos on their Facebook page so I'm guessing he goes up for order soon. I'd probably wait to get a version with the Infinity Gauntlet though. He does come with a throne though which is pretty damn cool.

Damn that looks nice. Never delved into the expensive replica/toy figure scene, probably due to a wife who would go ballistic knowing i had spent stupid money on something like this.....but damn am i tempted. I will probably hold off as well to see if an Infinity Gauntlet version appears.

Really regret never picking this up, now its outrageously priced on secondary market.

^Unless you're confusing this PF with the HT 1/6, you can still get the reg version. The exclusive on this one doesn't really matter.

My two don't show up until next week. Ordered one ex, and one reg.

Honestly if there was one Premium Format statue I'd want it probably would be that one. I'm not big into statues but it looks pretty bad-ass. I like the base with the stairs to the Batcave a lot on it and of course the figure looks great.

Out of all the statues I have, this ranks in the top 5. Incredibly detailed statue!

Just curious, but what other statues do you have?

I'm not a Batman '89 fan at all- and I'm kind of just Batman'ed out in general.

That said, I think that PF is one of the strongest statues SS has put out in the last several years. I love the composition of it, with the winding stairs giving it a nice sense of flow and movement. I know some fans complain about the twisting of the neck, but I would just take that as some slight and welcome creative license.

Really nice piece- congrats!

Just preordered the Iron Giant figure by Mondo. Looks awesome to me.

And I just received my Sideshow monthly email and actually have 17,000 available points with 11,500 pending. I hate having validation on how expensive this hobby really is.

I got the same email but I think it sounds like Sideshow is charging payments for R2-D2 on February 5th and will ship after. Not sure if it'll ship same day or not but it'll probably arrive next week sometime.

GOOD LORD! *choke*

I think all I've ever had has been about 900. I used about 400 a few years back to subsidize a Bowen, and I've got a little under 500 now.

The Space Jockey is up for pre-order. I may end up using them all towards that. Would knock it down to about $400 after shipping.

I don't have many hobbies, but the hobbies I do have, I go all out on. Ron Swanson can say it better than I can:

I have 5,088 points currently and 2,080 pending. I'm trying to save a bunch for a while to apply towards the DeLorean.

I got one of my HT 1989 BATMOBILE free with points.

In oct ordered Pinhead pf no charge with points.

Those are the only things ive used points for myself. I use them for gifts, and winners in my spook contests. I have a shit load of points and a shit load pending. I don't keep track of them. I buy for myself and the 4 brats have a collection each, and a few items for my wife but they havent had anything for her in years. So all that buying adds those points up.

Damn dude! You must buy a ton to rack up all those points.

I just wish Sideshow would let you combine points with their other specials, sales, coupons, etc. It always sucks every time I see a sale I might bite on but they won't allow me to use the few points I have along with it.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

They can have pretty decent sales though if you watch for them. For instance back in December I bought the Hot Toys Elder Predator figure which they had discounted to $202 (I think it was like $225 originally) or so and also were offering double rewards points on plus free shipping. On top of that I was able to stack the monthly $20 coupon on to get an even better deal. For pre-orders and regular in-stock items though you can't double up and combine rewards points and a coupon though. They had a bunch of good deals over Spooktacular (the last week in October), Black Friday, and the Holiday season.
