That Bane statue is fantastic. What material is it?

Decided to take the plunge on my first Hot Toys figure from Sideshow Collectibles. I'm pretty stoked about getting him. I think I'll go for Batman too eventually.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
 Yeah, I'm already thinking Batman is next for me. I saw a picture of a Gordon too that was apparently exclusive to some Toy Fair in Asia I believe. He was pretty damn cool but was wearing the SWAT uniform rather than the traditional trench coat look. I'd love a Gordon but think I'd prefer his other look personally. Still though they did a pretty great job on the sculpt for likeness to Oldman if you ask me.

http://thebatmanuniverse.net/image/M...Gordon%201.jpg Another insane pic for all you collectors. The bat vehicles Hot Toys will make in one pic. Look how gigantic the Bat will be. My wife may ask me to stop collecting if I get it but it would be AMAZING!!!!! http://bbs.bbicn.com/data/attachment...lfs7d0q807.jpg http://bbs.bbicn.com/data/attachment...3n8pq33o34.jpg |
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
As awesome as they are I don't know if I'll ever venture into the vehicles. They're expensive and massive so I don't know if I'd even be able to find room for one. The Tumbler is the main one I'd consider..at this point The Joker and Batman are my main wants. Possibly the Gordon if it's priced right.

Took these at Comic-Con. The Joker looks fantastic! Can't believe how massive the Batmobiles are!

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
I succumbed on the Chris reeve superman doll and now it looks like I may do the same with that joker and batman set. Dammit.
Now they need to make a general Zod doll and my DC movie set would be complete. |
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
ugh, I may have to blow over $500 on the Joker and Batman now....thanks guys.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
I didn't go, but from looking at all the pics and video from people who did, the Hot Toys and Sideshow displays were knockouts this year.
That '66 Batmobile blows me away. I can't wait to see how the actual figures from the show come out. It was one of the big dreams of my 6 year old self to have an Adam West as Batman figure and I can't wait to get it (so the little bastard can finally shut up). I have a feeling those will be my first HT purchases. And even though I despise the Prequels, EU, and everything that came after ESB- I actually find myself lusting after some of the SW Sideshow pieces. The Shaak Ti PF and the Vader Mythos figure look to be supremely well executed and I wouldn't mind having either on display. |
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
Ugh..dropping over $500 on toys . I haven't ordered my Hot Toys Batman yet but I know it's just a matter of time before I decide to. The Tumbler (black version not the camo one) would be awesome to have too but it's just so damn big and costs a lot.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
Hell yes!
But what I'm really looking forward to is a tiny Yvonne Craig . Seriously- if those figs are at the level of the TDK and Avengers figs, I won't be able to throw my money at them fast enough. |
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
Yeah my wallet is open and ready for an Yvonne Craig figure.
|
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
Oh my god, The Bat looks orgasmic. It's gonna be like $700 though.
|
Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
You can barely tell that Joker is an action figure in that picture and not Heath Ledger himself standing there.

Will get the 66 Batmobile also. Pre ordered the Poison Ivy PF last week. Cant wait to get that. |

A life like Yvonne Craig figure could be dangerous...

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
Trying to decide if I want the SWAT Gordon, he's $225. Pretty cool figure though and nice likeness to Oldman. Plus he's an exclusive so if I do't get him now it'll probably wind up going up in price. Fuck this hobby

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion
If you're not sure, just wait for the trench coat version they will more likely do next year.
