I've gotten most of my collection either on eBay or area stores. The Futurama figures I've gotten at Suncoast for $15 each. I think they have only had two waves released so far. Some local stores that are good are Suncoast, FYE, and Spencer's Gifts. Also that trendy/goth/punk clothes store Hot Topic has some figures tucked in the back. Cult classics, Goonies, Harry Potter, Beowulf, etc.

I think speculation is they will be the usual $140-$150. Not sure if I am going to buy into this line. If sideshow continues to make new 12" figures I think I will just buy from that line.

It really depends on what you're looking for.

Product Exclusivity and Exchange Policy would be the reasons to buy direct from a company's site. Naturally, you'll pay the full product MSRP.


Otherwise, I would buy from well-established e-tailers that usually offer pre-order discounts(15-30% off MSRP) or incentives (i.e. payment plans).

Unless you're dealing with an established seller where the product is in-stock, I would avoid ebay like the plague.... especially when Pre-Ordering a product.

I have seen too many people burned by advanced (ebay) pre-ordering where sellers will take the money and run.


These types of deals are somewhat easy to spot when the eBay seller offers:

1. Product Pre-Orders several months in advance and Demands Full Payment up-front (most e-tailers expect a deposit).

2. Pre-order Discount Exceeds 35% off MSRP.
