A Question About Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors
Fangoria's Weekend of Horror's is coming to Chicago and I am totally going, but I have question about what it entails. The "previews" of movies, are they advance screenings of the films or are they just little clips of them? Also do they show full length movies at all?

At the Weekend of Horrors, they show trailers for upcoming theatrical and direct-to-video movies. Then throughout the two days, filmmakers and cast members from upcoming and cult movies give presentations on their movies, usually showing clips, and answering audience questions. For example, at the September Weekend of Horrors, cast and crew members from Slither spoke about the movie, showed the trailer and various clips, did a Q&A, and finally signed autographs.
At the Weekends, they usually have a room set up specifically for a day-long film festival. Some of the small, independent movies that are presented in the lecture hall get screened here. I've never heard of them screening theatrical movies in advance, but sometimes they give out free passes to upcoming screenings in the city.
Overall, if you're a fan of the magazine or horror in general, you'll enjoy the weekend. In the main lobby area, the magazine gives out plenty of free promotional items from upcoming movies like posters, keychains and t-shirts. Many of the guests sit in on other lectures and walk around the dealers room because they are fans of the genre too.

Can someone tell me exactly what goes on at these conventions. Is it like Wizard World where there are a bunch of people selling stuff or what?

In addition to everything I mentioned earlier, there is a dealers room with people selling DVDs, videos, posters, t-shirts, models, toys, etc.
Pretty much anything associated with the horror genre.
