Flight 93 Trailer (Paul Greengrass's 9/11 movie)

When the film was announced in August, Variety announced...
I've liked Greengrass's past two efforts, so I'm interested to see how he tackles this film. The hand-held cameras make sense in this case, especially since the film is taking place on a plane (and they're actually going for realism on a plane, unlike Flightplan or Turbulence).
"Flight 93" will be shot using hand-held cameras and will be, in large part, improvised.

For some reason I don't find myself interested in seeing this in the big screen or on dvd. I don't know if it's "too early" or anything like that. I sat through THE FLIGHT THAT FOUGHT BACK and even with kiefer sutherland's voice I felt very uneasy with it all.
I really don't see myself spending money to put myself through that.

Seriously though I always thought that the events that happened on Flight 93 would be one of the first stories told in the film media(not counting documentaries). I know they have other fictional accounts of that tragic day, but this seems to be on a much grander scale.
I am very interested in seeing this but I see Jack's point. I found it somewhat hard to listen to the trailer, so i'm sure it will be a hard film to watch espicially to those who are closer to the situation.

I don't know if I'll see this (like others have said, I was uneasy even watching the trailer), but I do hope they'll do their best to stick with the facts, as we know them. There's been a lot of rampant speculation about what happened on the flight from various parties who had one agenda to push or another.

After watching the "documentary" Loose Change (you can download this via Bit Torrent sites as the maker has condoned this) I get the feeling this movie could be about just anything.
Anyone able to explain to me how all these people made phone calls using their own cell phones from all the way up there?

I think the real clicker here is that they are going to use the phrase "lets roll" in the wrong context. It wasn't some battle cry or anything like that to show the passangers tossing out one liners. It was actually them refering to the cart they were going to break into the cabin with. thus "Lets roll it". That sort of bending of the facts would really be in poor taste and in a subject like this, you can never really be certain.

While I'm interested in the film, I don't agree with the attempt at profiting of it this soon. There are still family suffering from their losses, and people who are having trouble making ends meet now. I might see this if someone I know buys it, or maybe a Netflix rental, but I'd rather hand $10 to a charity than someone making this film.

The only ones I saw was referred to in Loose Change in which someone actually went up in a plane and tried in a test study and was able to connect at that altitude with a .006 probablility. And some of the same people on this plane appearently made multiple connections?

i think some of them were cel phone calls...most were from the credit card swiper phones built in to the back of the chairs...
also if you are set to roam...it opens up alot of signal not on the in network calling (that most people keep turned off to save money)

I think a big audience would be had if a credible TV station made a news special on all the stuff that's come out on the 9/11 stuff to debunk it and see what results from a big budget expert investigation.
But after watching Martial Law 9/11 and Loose Change, I've got more questions than answers from all the information put out.

I've seen enough 9/11 conspiracy footage to fill my need. I don't however believe that the phone calls were doctored by anyone. Especially when various outlets went deep into the flight and I see no reason why Discovery Channel had any reason to play into any sort of theory.
There's other stuff that can be questioned.. the pentagon for example.. but that's not a topic for the moment. we are discussing the flight.
