I admit, when I was 8 years old Temple of Doom was my favorite.

Temple of Doom has a cool opening sequence, but I couldn't vote for it over the other two movies.

Last Crusade
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Temple of Doom

temple
raiders
the last crusade

the last crusade doesn't hold up. I am tired of them wacky nazis. Temple is just a rollercoaster (sometimes literally) of a movie. It also has it's great nasty moments unlike the last one.

Wow...okay...I have to include all four adventures that included Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones though:

1. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
2. INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM
3. YOUNG INDIANA JONES AND THE MYSTERY OF THE BLUES
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And then, I guess, if I absolutely have to: LAST CRUSADE. (Ugh.)

I have to admit, when I was 8 years old, Temple of Doom scared the crap out of me.

My votes are:
Raiders of the Lost Ark (no Indiana Jones in the title crap)
The Last Crusade
Temple of Doom

Was it the monkey brains?

When I was 8, I loved this movie. No movie scared me as a kid. It wasn't until I got older that things started scaring me (because now I know that ghosts are REAL ). Looking back at Temple of Doom I just can't stand it. And the lines stick with you. This movie is a curse.

Whenever I think about Temple of Doom I always hear:

"Oh num sheeba, oh num sheeba, OH Num SHeeba, OH NUM SHEEBA, OH NUM SHEEBA"

"GOLIMAAAA SHUCK DEE DAYY"

"Indy, cova ya HEARRT!"

And when that lady got sprayed with water, that kid Shorty was like:

"hahaha.....hahaha....veeerry funny. verry funny. heh heh heh....heh heheh...very funny. hahha. very funny very funny."

Man I wanted to slap him off that elephant (even when I was 8 years old).

not so much the monkey brains as the human sacrifice rituals and ripping a still beating heart out of a still breathing person.

oh and seeing all those little snakes spill out of the larger snake on the dinner table was fairly unsettling for my little mind too.

I'm thinking this will be the most common response.

Too bad this forum doesn't have some kind of a poll function so we could easily find out.

1. Raiders
2. Temple
3. Crusade

I'm completely surprised at the number of people putting Crusade as #1. Have you watched it lately with the other two?

I just happened to watch Crusade on Monday night after I had not seen it in several years (but I had pleasant memories of it). I thought it was pretty bad. The plot is a thin version of Raiders but has Sean Connery tossed in. I found Connery not so lovable this time around. It just seemed forced and the jokes fell flat.

I thought maybe it was due to watching Crusade as an adult but Raiders still stands as one of the greatest movies ever made no matter how many times I have watched it and at whatever age I was at the time. Crusade is mildly enjoyable but it doesn't come close to touching the hem of Raiders' garment.

I based my rankings on watching all three back to back when the DVD set was released.

As am I. Putting LAST CRUSADE above RAIDERS is like putting PHANTOM MENACE above EMPIRE, or putting STAR TREK V above STAR TREK II.
