What's the name of this movie? [dinosaurs, stop-motion style]
All I remember clearly is that, ala King Kong, man brings T-Rex to New York or something. It's old, like King Kong, with dinosaurs in stop-motion style.
Anyone know which movie this could be? It thought it might be "The Lost World" from 1926, but I don't recall it being a silent movie. Coulda been, since I only remember the T-Rex scene, and T-Rexes don't talk, so... |

The Valley of Gwangi (1969), maybe?
|
Billy and the Cloneasaurus?
|
How about Good Burger: Jurassic Edition?

Another vote for Gwangi:
From IMDB: Plot Summary for The Valley of Gwangi (1969) Cowboy James Franciscus sees fame and fortune by capturing a Tyrannosaurus Rex living in the Forbidden Valley and putting it in a Mexican circus. His victim, called the Gwangi, turns out to have an aversion to be shown in public. Another film featuring the stop-action special effects talents of Ray Harryhausen. |
Although not a T-Rex. The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms was in N.Y.C. Monster attacks Coney Island.
|
Oh God, it could be 20,000 Fathoms, or it could be Gwangi...egad! Well, I blind-purchased "Fathoms," so we'll see. Wish I could see a screen shot of the monster, as I never heard of a rethosaurus.

[Buford]I need closure!!![/Buford] It pretty much comes down to: - does it look like a trex? then Gwangi - does it occur in NYC (does he eat a roller coaster and a cop)? then Fathoms |
looking at the screen shots, the movie I was thinking of was...(drum-roll)...Gwangi!
So I mail-ordered that one, too. They both got good feedback, so what the hay! |
