Back to the future 4
From Imdb:
Michael J. Fox is heading Back To The Future for a fourth time-traveling movie. The actor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, admits he's in negotiations for a final film in the series - but only if they make his character as old as he is in real life. The former Spin City star wants to take over Christopher Lloyd's eccentric scientist character, Doc, in the sequel. He tells movie website Moviehole.net, "The only way it would work would be if I played Doc. I'm 44-years-old now and I'm not interested in running around on skateboards! I think after 1, 2 and 3 we all kind of felt we had done it. And I think if they did it again now they would do it with a younger cast and just do a different realisation of it, which would be fun." |
So they are thinking of doing a remake? That would be completely dumb.
I hope this is not true. Number 2 and 3 were vastly inferior to the original IMHO so there's no need for a fourth one.
lame
they should use Eric Stolz as Marty (as they tried in the original)
EDIT there should have been a ;) on the end of my post |
No.
I don't see the point.
I thought Michael J. Fox retired from acting because of his Parkinson's disease.
Stop now please, part three was bad enough.
This sounds like a really bad idea...
Typical IMDB drivel. The first sentence of the article doesn't match the rest of it.
and no Doc Brown?
I dont have a problem with Michael playing his age but dont just make another movie with his character and no one else. |
Huey Lewis could use the work.

Does anyone know if the site Moviehole.net that they quote is a credible source?
Does the fourth Back To The Future flick have Marty returning to save his daughter from marrying a black man?

When asked if any consideration has been given to launching a Back to the Future sequel under Universal's new 'DVD Originals' banner, USHE President Craig Kornblau recently admitted in an email to BTTF.com, "We are looking at it!!!!" Perhaps the future of Back to the Future 4 hasn't been written yet afterall... |
sort of? Unless there's ink on the paper you should always consider every option to make a buck off a franchise is being "looked at" because that's the nature of the business. They wont ever say that a franchise is dead or over with.
I just KNEW someone would post this when they saw it on IMDB. The quote from Fox is one he did back in October for Moviehole and IMDB is taking it completely out of context. Fox was just joking around...saying that there's no way they would do sequels...but if they did, that's pretty much the only way they could do them.
There's not going to be a BTTF 4 anymore than there's going to be a Star Wars: Episode VII...or a King Kong 2. ;) |
Hell the quote from the first post even sounds like he is joking. I thought it was obvious.
