Help naming a movie (please)

Hello, thanks for reading.

First, I saw only a scene of this film on one of the HBO's sometime early last winter. Since, I caught it somewhere in the middle, I decided to use the digital guide and see what it was - then tape it later (I hate watching movies from the middle).

I thought the guide read "Le Femme Nikita" and I have never seen it air again. So I run out and purchase the title (French) and needless to say it was not it. But it did have a lot of similarities.

Anyway, the scene I remember from a cinematography standpoint had a lot of blue in it. It took place in a dressing room with a tremendous amount of technobeat music playing in the background.

Since the language spoken was not English - subtitles were used (hence the reason why I purchased LFN).

Seriously, the scene had two woman kissing - one wearing some wierd outfit and make-up. Of course it was a rouse. The normally dressed woman was an govt agent/villian/hit woman and tied the other woman up and stole her clothes.

The woman after dressing in some costume outfit ended teaming up with a few other individuals in what was turning into some type of assassination during a play or musical.

It looked really good and that is why I turned it off.

Any ideas (other than me getting dyslexia tested )?

Was it "Femme Fatale" by any chance (you can read the opening of Roger Ebert's review for confirmation)?

could it be Point of No Return starring Bridget Fonda? I mention it because it's directed by Luc Besson who also directed La Femme Nikita (which this film clearly resembles although not as good).

Don't remember any subtitles though, I haven't seen it in a very long time.

Luc Besson did not direct Point of No Return, and the scene in question doesn't appear in that film (or in Nikita for that matter).

After searching the web, the movie was indeed Femme Fatale. I found a trailer and watched it.

It turns out I was slightly wrong on the cinematography (blue) and possibly the language. (IMDB says english/french). Geez, plus the plot that I thought was also wrong.

Anyway, thanks to ALL the help. It is much appreciated.

"Femme Fatale" does have English subs during the opening scenes (including the one you mentioned).

And, this is more than a little crude of me, but I strongly recommend you have your wife, or girlfriend, or box of tissues nearby when you get to the striptease scene by Rebecca Romijn.

I'm quite sure that it's: Brian DePalma's Femme Fatale.

Point of No Return is the american remake of the french film: La Femme Nikita.
