Bronco Billy - This is one of his movies with the most "heart," and I remember reading that it is one of his own favorites as well.

White Hunter Black Heart - maybe his most underrated movie, both as an actor and director.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly is, by far, my favorite of any of Clint Eastwood's movies.

As for movies he directed, I like The Outlaw Josey Wales and Unforgiven the best.

(It's amazing how memorable his Westerns are, because most came early on in his film career. After 1976, he's only been in 2 actual Westerns: Pale Rider and Unforgiven)

Clint Eastwood is my favorite actor of all time, so it's difficult to choose my favorite.
I'll go with Pale Rider, which he also directed.

Excellent
Million Dollar Baby
The Bridges of Madison County
In the Line of Fire
Unforgiven
Escape from Alcatraz
The Enforcer
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Magnum Force
Dirty Harry
Any Which Way You Can
Every Which Way But Loose
Yeah, that's right. I love the two orangutan movies.

Awful
Blood Work
The Rookie
Pink Cadillac
City Heat
Two Mules for Sister Sara
Paint Your Wagon

The rest are somewhere in the middle.

How can you pick just one movie from a career as remarkable as Clint's? With much grumbling I can maybe get it down to three ...

Where Eagles Dare - Definititive 'boys own' WW2 adventure with madcap plotting, endlessly quotable dialogue ('Strange! I zeem to remember ze Cathedral was on ze ozzer zide of ze square!!') and one fab action sequence after another. Hugely enjoyable performances from all concerned and perfect 'opposites attract' casting of Clint and Richard Burton. Oh, and that music ...*sigh*

Dirty Harry - One tough motherf***er of a movie. Harry is one of those films you can stick in the player thinking 'I'll just watch the first few minutes' but before you know it you're 45 mins in and hooked for the duration.

Million Dollar Baby - Total emotional wipeout. Clint's finest achievement as actor and director and one of the all time great Best Picture winners.

It's not even in Clint's bottom 3. Any movie with "Shaft" in it gets points in my book.

Nope. Burt Reynolds tries to be funny in it, which removes all SHAFT love.

Still the worst film Eastwood has ever made.

Actor-The Good, the Bad and the Ugly(Easy choice for me because this is in my top 10 of all time).

Director-Play Misty for Me(His debut).

Underrated-Tightrope.

1. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (in my top 10 of all time)
2. For a Few Dollars More (not that far behind)
3. I'm not sure, probably about a 10 way tie. I like most of his movies very much.

Nothing can remove the love for Shaft, not even Reynolds. Try again.

Shaft was in both BOAT TRIP and CORKY ROMANO.

Check. Mate.

Incidentally, both those films were better than CITY HEAT.

I always quite liked Space Cowboys. I would also go with In The Line of Fire, one of the best teaser trailers ever!

Nope. Like i said nothing can remove the love for Shaft, he always adds to a movie regardless of the quality. Your not going to get anywhere with the Shaft angle becuase nothing can take away from his coolness. Nothing.

And just to clarify we're not playing chess.

Obviously. The game is already over.

Shaft + CORKY ROMANO + Paycheck slumming = Shaft without integrity. Sorry to inform you of this.

And I should know something about actors with no integrity. I've seen CITY HEAT.

Shaft with or without integrity always = coolness. Coolness is something that can never be taken away from Shaft, even if he just phones in his role. The coolness always shines through.

High Plains Drifter

I pretty much love all his work so far (with the exception of Blood Work).

The thing that i love about Clint in films is that he can say the coolest things with that raspy voice and sound tough as nails at the same time.

This is one of the reasons why both Dirty Harry and The Eiger Sanction were both two of my favourites.

Perfect example from The Eiger Sanction is when he kicks Popes ass and tells him "I feel its fair that i tell you i have to waste you a little." followed up by the "Sweetheart, baby, pal..." line cracks me up every time.

The guy is a legend.
