BAD designer BAD!!!!!

How visually savvy are you?
I find it totally disruptive to the flow of a movie when a child characters art or drawing is shown, and it is obviously done by an adult. I don't think there is a single movie that has pulled this off successfully.
Who does these drawings?
Do they need a specialist or to just hire kids to do the drawings?
Am I the only one who notices this?
Shall I list movies ie; "Hide and Seek" " The Others" etc.?
Any suggestions on where to get info on this?

I've noticed it a few times. In spiderman, peter parker draws a very professional looking concept of his suit, complete with accurate proportions and prisma color marker rendering.

That's just part of his super-powers. It's a little known fact that spiders are excellent artists, but no one makes mechanical pencils that small. :(

Not so much little children, but Tom Cruise drawing Penelope in Vanilla Sky. Yea right...

There was a scary movie that played in the theatres a few years ago. Had a picture (drawn by a little girl) with an added member of the household, which turns out to be a ghost of some sort. Off the top of my head, that is of the few that I can remember where a child's drawing is actually believable.

That's The Others. I thought the child art in that movie and in The Ring was believable.

Josie Foster's drawing of Pensacola in Contact is just a little too nice for a little girl.

That does not bother me at all, since the sketches of Peter Parker's spider constume looks like any very good art & design sketch drawn out by a 16 to 19 year old boy. Peter Parker is 18 and most likely part of some art & design class and not some five year old pre-schooler.
