Wonderland
Jude
Welcome to Sarajevo

Oh, and The General with Brendan Gleeson.

sweet sixteen is an amazing scotish film, accents are hard work even for me but the film is worth it for the actor playing the lead, he was a promising footballer in real life as well.

In addition to many of the previously mentioned:

My Name is Joe (Another in the difficult Scottish accents category. When I first saw it on TV, it was actually subtitled )

Not seeing too many classics here, so I'll have to add Hitchcock's pre-Rebecca films (esp. 39 Steps) and anything by Powell + Pressburger.

The Full Monty. The theme might be a little bit discomforting - I myself thought I won't like it much. But it turned out to be a very good piece of comedy.

Brief Encounter

I would be remiss if I didn't mention London Town, a Technicolor musical filmed during WWII. It's almost impossible to find and so I have only seen it once. It makes that much of an impression. It's not good, but it specifically asked for favorites.

Yeah, and we Scots have never forgiven you for that too, ya tit!

My bad, I should have said "English/Scottish/Irish". I've actually been on holiday over there (all three countries) four times in the last four years, so I know better. It's a beautiful part of the world - and I'm hoping to move there soon.
