Why is every film student making zombie movies now.. scratch that.. BAD zombie movies.

i don't know whats wrong with all of you, but this movie looks really good. what a Troma movie should be like. i got a feeling this movie will deliver the hype that Undead didn't; a good zombie/horror/comedy.

I do agree with this part. That film was a major disappointment to me.

As for THIS movie, it will almost certainly probably be bad... the question is if it will be "entertaining bad" or "unwatchable bad".

I'm so goddamned sick of movies trying to be (or ending up) "entertaining bad" that bad has just become BAD, regardless. Campy flicks just suck, for the most part.

Agreed. I've been saying the same thing since the first Charlie's Angels movie.

Yeah, the best "bad" movies are unintentionally funny. Ed Wood really thought he was creating art. Hal Warren, well, he tried (sort of). The problem with Troma style movies is that whole, "Hey, look, it's total shit! It's funny!" attitude.

Right. I don't like maybe 95% of Troma movies i've seen. I don't like camp nor cheesy, and i don't like movies so bad they're good.

However, going by the trail this doesn't look that bad at all. That song at the campfire was bad, and if it's like that throughout the movie, then fine. it looks like crap. however the clips looked good. good make up effects, looks good PQ was, looks to have plenty of violence/gore and sex/nudity. what's not to like?

btw at my local blockbuster the walls are lined with tons of various dtv zombie movies. tons. i keep resisting the urge to rent one or eventually find the one decent one. this Special Dead looks to be a whole better than that lot.

You don't? Well have you seen Hangman? It's one of Sandra Bullock's first movies (if not the first, I'm not sure). You may love how bad it is. It's one of my favorite comedies, without being in the comedy section.
