LOTS of new High Def trailers at Apple
I guess in conjunction with the release of the new iPods and iTunes 6, Apple has also released several new HD Quicktime trailers (looks like 480p, 720p, and 1080i/p). They have:
Ice Age 2 The Da Vinci Code V for Vendetta Barnyard The New World Casanova Rumor Has It The Ringer King Kong Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Trailer and Teaser) Walk the Line Bee Season Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Chicken Little Jarhead North Country Syriana In Her Shoes The Fog The Greatest Game Ever Played Roll Bounce Transporter 2 A Sound of Thunder Supercross Most of these are trailers they have had for awhile, they're just HD. Fun! Now if I could just get my stupid Turtle Beach Montego DDL sound card to install  |
Looks like they redesigned the site too. Thanks for the heads up; off to fire up QT 7 on my laptop.

Oh, and it seems I'm no longer able to download these files using Quicktime Alternate. I was able to 2 days ago, but they must have done something to disable that. Any way I can download these to my HD without buying Quicktime Pro? Alternate had WAAAAY better performance for the HD files than the demo of QT7 I had.

Thanks for the heads-up on this - some great looking trailers (just checked out The New World - looks stunning!)

Checked this out last night. Now I'm officially aware that as fast as I have made my compaq computer with a celeron processor from 1999..........it's time to upgrade.

I've noticed these show more compression than the WMVHD vids I have that play just as well. I've also seen issues with the picture in the QT vids "tearing", especially during fast action. Wonder if there is a way to correct this. So far, I've downloaded Harry Potter, Jarhead, King Kong, and V for Vendetta. Already had Kingdom of Heaven and Batman Begins.

Brian Did you use QT Pro to download these, or some other trick? I'm on the fence about QT Pro, so I'm just asking. THanks. Also, thanks to the OP about the heads up on the new site. |
No. Just click on whichever resolution you want and let Quicktime start to play the video. Then click on Window / Show Movie Info Highlight and paste the URL from the source, and paste it into Google. Do a search, and then just right click on the URL that Google shows (it will say it couldnt find anything, but provide a linked URL for you) and save!
