Knowing Stallone, I'm betting there's a lot of "you ain't as young as springtime anymore" jokes in the movie - most likely from Paulie towards The Rock. Even though Stallone is 60, I'm guessing Rocky in the movie is a little younger. He was 34 in Rocky III when Rocky, Jr. was about 6, so if Rocky, Jr. is about 25 in this one, Rocky will be about 53 or so...

So will part VI follow the tradition of the other sequels by starting in the middle of the fight from the previous movie? I would rather it pretends that street fight with Tommy Gunn never happened.

Who knows, even though this is the sixth Rocky movie, it's being called Rocky Balboa. I think even Stallone wants to pretend Rocky 5 didn't exist. According to the script of the first few pages of the movie that were posted online, there is no scenes from the last one.

I don't know what all the Rocky V hate is for. As bad as it was, it was character-driven and had a heart, as opposed to the Rambo-esque Rocky IV, which was easily the worst of all the Rocky movies and had such a thin storyline it was only 90 minutes long.
And saying this new movie being called Rocky Balboa instead of Rocky VI is to pretend Rocky V never happened is like saying Die Hard 2 or Blade II didn't happen. Numbers at the end of titles for sequels is tedious when you start making more than a couple sequels. Rambo IV probably will be called something else, never mind that Rambo III is a sequel to movies not named Rambo and Rambo II.

the other kid is rocky jr, of course.
