How is Tom Sizemore on welfare?

He just said personally on "Extra" that him, his kids, and their mother are all on welfare? I know he's done drugs and made some bad choices, but he has made some big movies and a lot of them. He's gotten payouts, I know, of at least $1 mil for some if not a lot. You can't blow all that on drugs.

So how is this truly possible or is it?

Umm ya. You actually can.

Shouldn't there be a rule for Welfare that if you lose everything through your own idiocy you don't get to collect? Why should I support some drug addicted actor? Oy.

FinkPish 09-29-05 06:52 PM

What films was he making a million for? Even if he was, I could still see someone who is bad with money and has a drug habit wasting it away.

Seantn 09-29-05 06:58 PM

He's still getting tons of money in residuals, even for movies that he did years ago.

Actors make tons of money off of residuals. Pearl Harbor just aired on ABC for the first time ever. He probably made about 30,000 dollars off of that airing.

matome 09-29-05 07:07 PM

It's a shame. He's played some really good parts.

Actors can make a good living just off of residuals, but it doesn't even approach $30,000 for just one airing on TV, especially for someone who didn't have a lead role in the film.

No kidding. I spent that much on my dealer just this past week.

Tom Sizemore is on welfare? And they say people aren't cheating the system.

Mr. Salty 09-30-05 12:03 AM

Don't forget all the lawyers he's had to pay over the last few years. Those probably cost him more than the drugs.

Aphex Twin 09-30-05 01:16 AM

Perhaps he donated a lot of money to charities

Is Charities his strippers name?

The Infidel 09-30-05 01:53 AM

Yeah, with all the hookers he's been with, I'm sure at least a couple of them were named Charity.

EDIT: DAMN YOU FOR BEATING ME TO MY JOKE, WIZARD!!! ;)

No wonder he released that sex tape. I guess it's not selling as well as he hoped. heh.

Cancer Man 09-30-05 01:47 PM

Is Tom Sizemore's life really that f**ked up?! :wtf:

Oh well, I guess that's the result of the so-called Hollywood "high life".

It's a real shame, since I kind of liked this chump on Vice City.

He has probably paid more taxes than you ever will in your life, so if he lives on welfare for a year or two, I think he's allready paid for it himself.

1) Drugs
2) Whores
3) Lawyers

Those are three things that will chew through a bank account like acid.

Not to mention, managers, publicists, agents and all the other hangers on that take a cut. Start shaving things down by 30% for taxes and 5-10% each for all the other things and he could easily be on welfare. Drug addicts aren't exactly know for keeping up with their finances either.

I feel really bad for his kids...

This stance is such bullshit. Yeah, he paid more taxes than the rest of us, because he made more money than the rest of us. However, that doesn't excuse the fact that this former millionaire is now, in effect, getting a tax refund for being a fucking idiot. That's money that our government could, in theory, be using for something productive. Whether it's his tax dollars or ours, he's still a drain on our society due to his own fucked up decisions.
