The Transporter vs. The Big Hit

Thankfully, The Transporter 2 is making its way to theaters to clear up all our unanswered questions. Which begs the question, what's a better movie: The Transporter or The Big Hit? I prefer The Big Hit because of the humor.

Lou Diamond Phillips isn't in The Transporter, so I'll pick that one.

I haven't seen The Transporter -- not all of it, at least -- but I refuse to believe that much of anything can be worse than The Big Hit.

When I was in college, some friends of mine and I came up with this scheme where we'd go to the movies every weekend, and we'd rotate who picked each week's movie. The first weekend, one of my roommates picked The Big Hit. He was never allowed to pick a movie again, and we wound up dropping the idea entirely.

The Transporter is better, but it had horrible music and an annoying leading lady.

Big Hit for the comedy. When they start changing locations randomly in the last 15 minutes, it's just hilarious.

never saw the big hit so for now my vote goes to the transporter. I hope the new movie is as good as the first if not better.

I have not seen the Transporter yet.

But I do think The Big Hit is a fun comedy. It's definitely more of a comedy than an all out action film. Which I think is the main problem people have with it. They were hoping for a 'serious' action packed fun time. Instead, they got sporadic action scenes with alot of humor taking up most of the running time.

Dark comedy/absurd comedy is what The Big Hit is really all about and delivers from begining to end

Oh and the action scenes kickass as well

Is the Transporter any good? I saw the preview for part 2 and it looks like it could be fun. But I'm not sure, since trailers can be deceiving(that's there point to sell you films).

I went with The Transporter. It is a higly flawed movie, but Jason is so awesome in it I just don't care. I love it.

Dooku makes a compelling argument. I'll pose one as well:

Jason Statham versus Marky Mark

Statham is the next big action hero in my mind. Statham kicks Marky Marks ass all over the place.

Agree 100% - I don't think of this as an "action" movie at all. C'mon ..... Wahlberg tries to cook a kosher meal? How off the wall can you get!

I think Statham rocks, but I enjoyed the humorous bits in The Big Hit.

The Transporter definitely had that element of unintentional humor.

I watched the Big Hit a month or so ago on Shotime. It felt like a movie shooting for humor at around the 6th grade level... except they forgot to make it funny for even 6th graders. Worst movie I've seen in a long time.
