I've only seen the trailer and it looked like The Forgotten on a plane...and I thought The Forgotten sucked.

I like Peter Sarsgaard, though, so I'll probably give it a chance (dollar theater or maybe a rental).

It looks like the Hitchcock movie "The Lady Vanishes" on a plane.

Funny, from the trailer I thought it kind of looked like Panic Room on an airplane, I'll go see it, looks fairly interesting.

Not Without My Daughter.... on a plane! You've only just seen an ad for this? I've seen ads for at least a month already.

Saw the trailer for this before Red Eye...that just seemed weird to me. Kinda like the two movies about a presidents daughter released so close together... *shrugs*

Looks like a rehash of a lot of movies. Someone important mysteriously goes missing and protaganist is confused for awhile. Other people think that the protaganist is going crazy but in the end she isn't going crazy and there was some conspiracy against her. Usually a main charactor that you thought was good turns out to be behind it all.

I won't be seeing it anytime soon but someone tell me if I'm right.

I'll be there too. Looks interesting, and no one plays wild-eyed panic like Foster.

The twist in this film has to be at least one of the stupidest fucking ideas put in a movie so far this year (the following will probably ruin the film for you, so I wouldn't highlight it if you want to see the film)...

Spoiler:
The first half of the film plays off as a psychological thriller as if Foster is crazy as her child doesn't exist, however, the film's second act is a terrorist thriller as terrorists kidnapped Foster's daughter and told the flight staff that her child died days prior to the flight so while the staff and passengers deal with Foster's hijinks, the terrorists can crash the plane into a building.

Fucking stupid, but goddamn is it ballsy.

(Not having read Matthew's spoiler...) In my experience, Jodie Foster is unparalleled in her particularity in selecting scripts...I suspect the chances of this film sucking are very low (though the fact that it's helmed by a no-name director has me a little ill at ease).

That's more or less my prediction. It really reminded me of the urban legend of the woman who goes on vacation and her mother/sister/brother etc goes missing and everyone denies their existence...hm. Although the ending does sound rather suspicious...where did you get this info?

Oh... Whew...

I thought she had taken on a "Rap name".

Sounds interesting, and I don't think I have seen the preview myself at all yet.

Did Boeing put this out to convince people not to fly on that giant Airbus coming next year? Timing-wise, they sure got it right.

Imagine if it was Die Hard on a plane! Nah, the studios would never make that.

I did think of The Forgotten and Panic Room (the latter mostly cuz it was the last Jodie Foster movie I saw) when I saw the commercial. Although I'm tempted to read the spoiler, I'll wait it out and probably check this out in theatres.

Also: If your repost hints at what's beneath that spoiler tag, please spoiler it. Better safe than annoying.

She was speaking French in A Very Long Engagement and getting all sexed up.
She has aged pretty well.
