The South Will Rise Again

Well I was a zombie in this movie, and I made the trailer. Just wanted to share it with you guys. I make no money on this, and make no claims to the content of the movie.

Looks pretty funny (much better than Redneck Zombies, anyway :)). The website claims you've only made a trailer so far... What was your budget for that?

Cameron 08-26-05 11:31 AM

not sure really....I think they shot this as a pitch trailer. The budget was ok. It was close to a 40 man crew, 200 extras, and two panavision cameras with a crane.

ShagMan 08-26-05 01:20 PM

Being from coastal Alabama, I thought it was pretty funny :)

What are two things you never want to hear from a redneck? "Hang on!" and "watch this!"

rexinnih 08-28-05 11:31 AM

"But when his brother's meth lab exploded............" rotfl rotfl rotfl

Troy Stiffler 08-28-05 04:40 PM

Looks like fun. I'd see the full length feature.

Groucho 08-28-05 04:46 PM

Pretty cool, actually. It would be neat if enough funding came together to make a full feature. Keep us posted!

Geofferson 08-30-05 11:05 AM

That's awesome Cameron - keep us posted!

lamphorn 08-30-05 09:46 PM

Oh hell. Well it looks funny, but I gotta say I was kind of expecting something like the zombies were all dead confederate soldiers who lumber around trying to continue the civil war.
As it is it looks like a southern version of Shaun of the Dead.

All my thoughts exactly. The characters were a little too cartoonish for my tastes, but thankfully nowhere near Troma level.

I absolutely love that title.

I liked it. It made me laugh, thanks for posting that for us. :)

LiquidSky 09-01-05 07:37 AM

2001 Maniacs (the remake) actually has a musical number in it called: "The South Will Rise Again"
Great funny, bloody, southern horror movie.

If they shot this as a pitch trailer, and you were in it, were you really that surprised that you made the trailer? :)

Eric D. 07-19-06 03:23 AM

I can't get the link to work. But the pics look cool.
