I spent the first hour of The Insider thinking that was really Mike Wallace. I was like "he can really act."

It didn't occur to me until last year that J. Jonah Jameson was Juno's dad. The differene a hair-piece can make.

The other day I noticed the Robin Williams-esque comedian in Hannah and Her Sisters was a young, baby-faced Lewis Black.

Paul Armstrong's daughter in Just Cause (1995) is Scarlett Johansson.

Or in old episodes of 'The Young Ones'. (Along with a very young Stephen Fry, 'Absolute Power' ruled!)

One I didn't know about for a while, not so much 'noticed' because you couldn't see him, but I KNEW I knew that voice: the King Of Jerusalem in 'Kingdom Of Heaven' was an uncredited role by Edward Norton.

But Juno came out late last year.

Edison Chen (Infernal Affairs 2, 3) has a cameo in "The Dark Knight". He can be seen with Morgan Freeman when he goes to Hong Kong.

Oleg Prudius, who now wrestles under the name Vladimir Kozlov, has a small cameo in a few episodes of "The Wire" during its second season. He plays a bodyguard of "The Greek"

Taylor Momsen (Jenny from "Gossip Girl") is the cute little Cindy Lou-Who from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"

Seth Rogen has a small part in "Donnie Darko"

He also does the voice of a cockroach in "Joe's Apartment" along with Tim Blake Nelson.

She also did the voice of "Dot" in A Bug's Life.

One that I remembered when I first watched The Office was that Dwight (Rainn Wilson) was the guy in the first season of Dark Angel that had the mechanical exoskeleton legs that he gave to Logan. He was also one of the aliens in Galaxy Quest.

He also played "fishboy" in House of 1,000 Corpses.

are you kidding? If you're referring to the Ben Affleck's line on the commentary, I think he just said "Dave Chappelle" since the guy kind of looked like him (not really). Kevin Smith laughs at how the guy doesn't look anything like Chappelle (other than being black, perhaps)

I didn't realize Wednesday's "boyfriend" in Addams Family Values was the guy from Numb3rs, or that the guy from Numb3rs is also the guy from Harold and Kumar.

On the series finale of Friends -- Jennifer Aniston sits beside Hugh Laurie. I know this was way before the House series started, but it is really weird all the same.

tanman 12-15-08 02:42 PM

Two voice over questions:

1. Is the Nasonex bee Antonio Banderes? It really kind of sounds like him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrUF3JzD9P4

2. Is the go phone gingerbread man Steve Buscemi?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP-1mO2NxcQ

And the "son" sound creapily old. Like a 40 yo man living at home begging his dad for a phone.

GoldenJCJ 12-15-08 02:50 PM

^^Don't know about the first one (Antonio Banderas) but #2 is definitely Steve Buscemi.

His "creepily old" son sounds a lot like Norm MacDonald to me.

I noticed Jon Krysinski (Jim from The Office) does the new Blackberry Storm ads.

Mr. Self Destruct 12-15-08 03:35 PM

Edward James Olmos from Battlestar Galactica...Admiral Adama is also Gaff from Blade Runner or the guy folding origami..

I was flipping through channels recently and saw some weird movie from a few years ago. David Schwimmer was going after Jon Krysinski with a baseball bat while Janene Garafalo stood by screaming. I think Garafalo was playing Schwimmer's ex who was now with Krysinski or something. Anyway the entire scene played like horrific miscasting.

Duane Hopwood (2005)

A well-meaning, if a bit thin, rock-bottom alcoholic drama. I came across a free screening promising an appearance by Roger Ebert. Alas, Ebert was in the midst of his health problems and his wife Chazz appeared (seemed nice enough).

The only thing interesting about Krasinski was that he WASN'T channeling the 'Jim' character in this role.

riley_dude 12-15-08 04:15 PM

I didn't know until after Mamma Mia was over that the daughter was the same girl in Mean Girls and Veronica Mars first season.

Rypro 525 12-15-08 04:41 PM

shes also on Big Love (if its the same one im thinking of)
