Meet the Little Focker (another sequel)

http://movies.hsx.com/servlet/Securi...l?symbol=MPRN3

With the success of Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, Universal is keen on another sequel from director Jay Roach. Ben Stiller’s and Teri Polo’s characters got married and were expecting a child at the end of the second film. Meet the Little Focker will introduce the newest addition to the Focker clan.

Yes, I am holding my breath for the day that a studio decides to stop making easy money.

Bah! I disagree with you guys.

I liked the 2nd movie more than the first so if this one follows the pattern it will be the best of the 3.

Bring it!

I'm guessing they'd do this because, well, a lot of people would not only want to watch it, but they'd pay for it too.

I think the blame should go to the people who pay to see this crap, rather than the studios.

In any case, the studios aren't forcing anyone to watch it.

It's Universal.

They'll greenlight a sequel to any film that'll make more than $100 million.

Has nothing to do with Universal. That goes for ANY movie company.

I didn't even think they were funny the second time around.

I agree completely. The second one was one of the biggest focking stinkers of the year.

I agree, loved the 1st 2 movies. The worst that can happen is this is a bad movie and then I just wont see it, no harm done

How much you want to bet we'll get shots of DeNiro and/or Stiller getting pissed on and having to change stinky diapers?

2nd movie sucked horribly. No way I see the third one unless I hear it is on par with the first.

Universal's policy is that any film that makes over $100 million will automatically get a sequel. The only two films in Universal's recent past that haven't had sequels produced, despite a $100 million plus gross, include Erin Brockovich and Van Helsing.

Some studios do not have similar policies, mostly due to the usual budget vs. grosses debate.

I thought the second one was very funny. But already having scenes with a kid in it will take away what they may have done for part 3.

I agree. I thought the first movie was one of the most overhyped movies I'd ever seen. Only a few laughs at best, most of which I had already seen 100 times in the trailer. The sequel was waaaay funnier. Not an all-time classic or anything, but entertaining.
