What good movies are coming out next?
This summer movies have been pretty good ones for once. It's not about just the mind-blowing special effects. I don't go to movies as much anymore but I've seen all the ones I wanted at the theatres:
Star Wars III
Batman Begins
War of the Worlds
What's next? I can't think of any other good flicks that I would like to see at the theatres. Unless, there are good suggestions and that perks my interests. Otherwise, I can hold out for its dvd release.
The only two flicks I can think of right now is King Kong in Dec. and Superman Returns in June 2006.

I'm listing the movies that are more mainstream and may have a chance of doing well:
Fantastic Four - 7/8
Charlie and the Chocolate Facotry - 7/15
The Bad News Bears - 7/22
The Devil's Rejects - 7/22
The Island - 7/22
Stealth - 7/29
Dukes of Hazzard, The Skeleton Key and The 40 Year Old Virgin come out in August.
Hustle and Flow, Dark Water, and Wedding Crashers are also on the radar.

Bruce S. - I've only seen three as well, two we share in common. I've seen Batman Begins and War of the Worlds, was in school during Star Wars III and just overlooked it (now that I think of it, I'll have to go see it). Considering are movie-going trends are similar, I urge you to go back and see Cinderella Man. I really don't think you'll come out of the theater unsatisfied.
By the way, I am looking forward to Bad News Bears (Billy Bob seems perfect for the role) and Stealth.

I agree, what a crap year. No wonder why the overall box office numbers have been down.

However, I said the live action Peter Pan was going to be huge too.

Don't know if they'll be good, but the only films I care about seeing in the theater for the rest of the year are:
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
The Brothers Grimm
King Kong
Harry Potter
Chronicles Of Narnia
The Corpse Bride
Serenity
maybe... Skeleton Key, Marie Antoinette, The New World, Nightwatch....

There are a lot of potentially good flicks coming out...but for me, the next "event film" is SUPERMAN RETURNS in 2006. Everything I've seen on bluetights.net leads me to believe this is going to be a great movie.
Of course, HARRY POTTER & THE GOBLET OF FIRE, KING KONG, THE PRODUCERS, and THE DA VINCI CODE all have the potential to be huge, huge hits.

Jigga,
I've heard good things about Cinderella Man but I think, I could hold off til dvd. After scanning, the list at comingsoon website , I noticed Mission Impossible 3 and Xmen 3, both are schedule for May release. Along with Superman Returns in late June. Those are the movies, I won't mind paying for.

I can't really say what movies I am looking forward to. "Event" movies are almost always letdowns. I usually end up loving the small movies that come out. I'm looking forward to Elizabethtown because of Cameron Crowe and The Weatherman cause it looked pretty good. But I don't know about any small films that are coming out.
Superman Returns? X-Men 3? Mission Impossible 3? Yeah, and people were saying this summer's movies were bad.
