THIS December? Awesome! For some reason I thought it was next year. Looks excellent. If anyone has a direct link to the .mov file, I'd appreciate it.

If memory serves, there was a dinosaur/King confrontation in the original film as well. So, I'm guessing they belong there.

Heh, this is a bit like saying, "I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith, but what's up with all those robots?"

From the original 1933 Kong:

My how the mighty have fallen. This movie looks utterly ridiculous and silly. I'm quite suprised by all the positive replies, I was at another message board and everyone was talking about how crappy it was.

Chunk: Sounds like Kong...

I really want to get excited for this movie but for some reason I can't, I think the source material just doesn't do it for me. Trailer looks cool though.

Looks pretty damn good IMO. I'm also glad to see that PJ seems to have retained quite a few elements from his original 1996 script, namely and elaborate native sacrifice and a dino stampede.

My only real gripe: Kong doesn't look viscious enough. He seems more like a moderately perturbed ape than a wild feral beast that PJ claimed he would be in this version. Still can't shake the fact that Kong is essentially fighting the Rex from Jurassic Park....

The Weta Digital FX will be considerably improved before the lock print date.

We're still six months from the release. No worries.

That's because this is not the greatest movie in the world. No, this is just a trailer.

The trailer looked ok. But why do all computer generated creatures, animals, dinosaurs, ect. in all Visual Effects films, even King Kong have to be moving
so fast? They look like images in a video game. Ex., "Anaconda", "Deep Rising". In real life an animal that big would not move so quickly. It seems that they have no body weight. More fakely. Would somebody
agree with me?

Looked good. Special effects looked cheesy in HD, but looked good nonetheless.

Latin brando, you do have a point. Perhaps CGI, however brilliant cannot yet capture the verisimilatude or the 'absolute reality'.

It's getting there though.

I guess it remains to be seen whether Jackson be angel or but man.
Spoiler:
ROCK!

looks good but not sure about jack black in it, i like him just not sure about the role. my only 2 real complants come from t-rex and king kong they dont look scary, t-rex looks like a cartoon version of the jurassic park t-rex, and king kong doesnt look to scary. i dont know i think the 1976 king kong looked scarry mainly because of the eyes in the 1976 verison, but does look pretty cool

He looks like Mighty Joe Young.

However, I'm still willing to go watch it in the theatres in December.

The trailer made me feel a little bit better about Jack Black being in the film. I think it looks pretty good considering we still have 6 months to go.

This is one movie I want to see in a theater.
