A question about cloning and Jedis
I know it's not movie cannon, but isn't there something some where (maybe in the EU) that said the Jedis cloned themselves during the Clone Wars. Would that even work? Would the rapid growing clones be powerful with the force?
|
For many years before the prequels it was suggested that the clone wars had a lot to do with the Jedi's fighting clones and all that nonsense.
Rapid growing clones would be pretty worthless if you don't train them right. I don't see the point of mass producing jedi's anyways. Since they are suppose to be the elite of the elite. |
according to the EU it was impossible to clone the Jedi properly. either they wheren't force sensative for whatever reason(this was before midi-chlorians came into the picture) or they where half crazy because they just got all these powers and had no idea what to do with them(lack of training and progressing into your ability)

don't mess with Luuke
in the EU there was something mentioned that clones needed to have those force blocking sloth things around the cloning chambers or they'd be messed up |
Speaking of clones, anyone else feel that it would have made a good twist to Episode 3 to have had Yoda and OB1 die later in the movie and then learn that Yoda and OB1 actually cloned themselves during the wars, and that it wasn't actually the real Yoda and OB1 who vanished upon dying in the original trilogy, but rather clones of their original selves? I was expecting some plot twist like that. I think that it would have given us fans some of the needed shock value that this movie was lacking. It would also give a better explaination why they vanished when they died while other jedi just died and were shown on a funeral pyre. Think about where Lucas could have gone with that idea.

That wouldn't not only be a terrible twist. But the shock value from that is really not needed and would just add to the pile of junk that needed to be resolved by the end of the film.
So in short, that's a stupid idea and everyone would have hated it. |

i really liked Kar Vastor also.....but Thrawn was the top dog. they really could have done something with Prince Xizor but they just got rid of him really cheap-like

That was the best EU set I read.
