Very quick question for those who have seen the film

Do they show the jump to lightspeed at all in this movie? This was such a signature of the OT that I'd love to see it at least once more.

I can't really answer that, but I believe the answer is no. But I agree with you, I wish Lucas kept that in these new films.

Jumping to lightspeed would have been nice to see, but where would you have it in these movies? In the ot, it was usually used to show han using lightspeed to run from the empire. In the pt, no one had to use lightspeed to get out of danger. Maybe the one time they could have used it was in tpm when artoo was first introduced.

Nope.

Anytime one of the main characters uses lightspeed. For instance when Obi-Wan used it a couple of times in AOTC. In TPM when the queen's ship jumped to hyperspace. There were times Han used it just to get somewhere quickly. It doesn't have to be used just from someone running.

Actually there's one scene where Obi-Wan jumps to hyperspace with his Jedi Starfighter. But if the OP means the blue wormhole thingy, then no.
