Help ID an obscure horror witchcraft time travel film

I remember watching this over a beer at a restaurant in the late 80's.

It involved some witches in Salem and an intriguing time travel plot that
I have long since forgotten.

All I remember is that the movie was captivating.

If anyone here could give me a title and maybe a brief recap to jog my memory, I'd really appreciate it.

The Undead?

Two psychical researchers procure the services of a lady of the night and send her back in time under hypnosis. She finds herself in the body of a past existence - a woman in medieval times waiting to be beheaded as a witch. By avoiding this fate she unwittingly starts to alter history.
Though, captivating is hardly a word I would use to describe it. Unless you are thinking of the MST3K version.

Could it be Warlock?

The plot sounds dead on but my movie was definitely an 80's film.

Shilex, I'm fairly certain it wasn't Warlock, but I think I'll rent it since it sounds pretty interesting. Thx.

Keyword search at IMDB brings up:

Burned at the Stake

In 1692, a young girl in Salem, Massachusetts, accuses several residents of being witches, and they are burned at the stake. In 1980, a young woman who is a descendant of the accuser finds herself having recurring nightmares about the incident and comes to believe she is being terrorized by the ghost of the father of the women who were burned as witches.

That's it Redinger. Thanks.
I'd really like to see this engrossing film again.
Alas, I don't think it's out on video or DVD.
