PRETTY WOMAN, Part II [spoilers]

The movie opens up a year-and-a-half after the first movie ended, with Edward (Richard Gere) and Vivian (Julia Roberts) engaged. Edward is facing a difficult and painful lawsuit he was forced to filed due to his ex-lawyer, Philip Stucky (Jason Alexander), spreading the news that Edward's fiance was a prostitute.

Edward's business is in trouble because of the slander issued by Stucky, a prominent and successful lawyer in Beverly Hills, and the resulting lawsuit is testing the love of both Edward and Vivian.

I don't know exactly how I would finish it, but rest assured it would involve Chow Yun-Fat and one hell of a lot of bullets.

I would like to see John Woo direct and Dolph Lundgren star. They both need another hit like Blackjack and this might be it.

Hmmmm...I think a zombie thrown in would liven it up a bit.

Julia Robert's doesn't need the competition.

I like that idea but only if he's a badass loner with heart of gold.

Sadly, Johnny Depp is too pretty and Roberts might demand all of his best wardrobe for herself.

And they better get Bruce Spence to be in it. You know, in case they decide to make this a trilogy.

I would have it be a trilogy and shoot both sequels together. The first would be about legal problems, the second a straight out courtroom farce with Joe Pesci making an apperance as Vincent Gambini.

For a real response ...

If that premise were done as serious movie (along the lines of Unfaithful or Closer, more like what the original script was supposed to be) it could be interesting. But if it were done as a romantic comedy this would be an awful train wreck.

But the year and a half after the first thing would not work either way. There's no way either Roberts or Gere could pull THAT off.

A real sequel to Aliens: The ship returns to Earth, but surprise, there were a bunch of face-huggers aboard - Earth gets infested and it's an all out global war culminating in a final battle of billions of Aliens vs. a high-tech military consisting of millions of troops. Throw about $300 million into making the movie and have James Cameron write and direct - the rest should take care of itself.

But will all our questions be answered by the end of the third one or will we all be arguing about this like The Matrix Trilogy? Then again, a series of animated Pretty Woman shorts and a videogame tie-in followed by an MMORPG wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'd like to see a twist. Something along the lines of it actually starring a pretty woman this time round, as opposed to that vile manbeast Roberts.

Maybe the twist will be that Gere will have to go back to being an American Gigolo while on the run from dope smugglers he screwed over early in his legal career? Maybe even have a Rob Schneider cameo that'd tie into Deuce Bigolo: European Gigolo.

Let M. Night Shyamalan have it to add a twist. Everything from the first movie was a farce. Also, break the timeline similar to Memento.

nah.... "one hell of a lot of bullets. " is still the best.

Or let's not have an ending at all. Let David Lynch write/direct it and have it end like Lost Highway. Everything gets all creepy, intense and awesome and then - BAM - the end credits roll without any warning! Mainstream audiences will going WTF while hardcore Lynch fans will be analysing it ad nauseum to see the inner nuances of this sequel that show it to be not truly a sequel to Pretty Woman but a remake of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Oh and Michael Bay should co-direct (you know, for the action sequences) and Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan should do all the fight choreography.
