There are many times that an English dialogue exchange takes place in a Hong Kong movie (several mentioned already) that it almost seems a standard feature.

There are many ... just off the top of my head:

8 1/2
Wages of Fear
Diva

I actually think Irma Vep has more English dialogue than French, I could be wrong.

recent:

Schultze Gets the Blues (great movie by the way, IMO, if you're patient)

You're probably right about that - Maggie Cheung spent several years growing up in London, and is basically a native English speaker. But she's just so hot when she's trying to speak French and not doing so well at it...

World of Apu has a little. I would imagine the other movies in the Apu Trilogy also have some.

SINGAPORE SLING is an odd one. English dialogue but the main character's extensive voice over narration is in Greek. Greek film too, I believe
