What happened to The Weather Man?

I thought the new Gore Verbinski flick was supposed to open today. I assume it has been pushed back a few weeks, but any word as to when or why?

Moved to fall for award consideration, and to soak up the more "adult" time of year when movies are released.

How lame. The trailer had Oscar written all over it, figures.

I think "The Weatherman" looks fantastic...bummed they bumped it, but it sounds like they did for good reason... I can't wait to see that flick!

You should have said The Mexican. Mouse Hunt was awesome.

Does everyone have minor strokes in between the times Groucho posts? He's kidding, folks.

Yup, should be good. Cage has chosen a few stinkers recently, but when he gets the roles and his heart is in it, he does a great job.

After seeing the previews, I had no interest in it at all. Maybe after seeing different previews, I might think differently, but not being a Cage fan, it just didn't interest me much.

I had little interest in this movie until I saw "Gore Verbinski" near the end of the preview. I'm disappointed that it was delayed, but I'll live.

If this helps, it was delayed till fall because screenings were far above what Paramount was expecting. I keep hearing how good it is.

The official site for this movie still says that its coming "Fall 2005", but Imdb has it listed for release in North America October 28. Hope this date is correct and it's not getting bumped to December or something. This one and Lord of War are on my 'to watch' lists for sure.
