The Cider House Rules?

Was this Tobeys finest moment as an actor?

I own the Spiderman DVDs but that was not his best moment as an ACTOR.

Delroy Lindo made a despicable character likeable which was hard to do.

on the downside, Michael Caine probably only had 5 scenes

Pleasentville the year before was his big break....

he had been making movies/tv well before that though

Tobey at IMDB

I thought he did an excellent acting job in The Cider House Rules

been meaning to rent the DVD - since there are many deleted scenes that at one point wound up in the first trailer of the film.

I don't know if I'd call it his finest moment as an actor. Part of the problem is he's consistently good in all of his roles, so it's tough singling out any of them. That being said, The Cider House Rules is probably my favorite movie out the ones he's starred in. That shot of Charlize in bed didn't hurt its ranking. ;)

He's good in Wonder Boys and The Ice Storm too.

I think Tobey is a fine actor. I wish that he worked more, but he had a grueling schedule loosing all that weight for Seabiscuit and then pumping back up again for Spider-man 2. I liked his work in all the movies that I have seen him in Seabiscuit, Pleasantville, Cider House Rules, and the Spider-man films. I really should see his other work and compare it to these. I really liked Cider House Rules. The movie was full of fine performances.

I don't know if it's his finest work, but The Cider House Rules is the best movie he's been in.

i loved pleasantville, I think that is his best. It's a weird premise, that had to be doen just right noy to be really silly, and he did it right...
