Need help! What movie is this?

A crew of investigators are watching a surveilance tape of a robbery when the main star (I think) says to pause it at a certain spot. The robber is reaching out and you can see his watch. He says to zoom in on it and the guy working the computer says something about it not being the greatest technology and that 8x is the best he can do. The someone says " It looks Like a Tag. (Referencing a Tag Huer watch)

This may not be accurate, but it is killing me to remember what movie it was!

Thanks.

Sorry for being in the wrong forum. But techinically speaking, it was a DVD that I was watching.

Thanks.

Sounds like a recent "Numb3rs" episode. One of the opening scenes was almost exactly like this.

What do they mean 8X is all they can do? It's a movie! They should be able to take the tape and count the individual hairs on that guy/s wrist.

Haven't they heard of the magic "Enhance" feature? It's somehow able to take a fixed-pixel image, and "enhance" it to hundreds of time it's original resolution, revealing incredibly microscopic detail.

Yep, this is what I thought it was too. I wanted to double check when I got home to see if the line was in there. But I didn't.
