Mr. Fantastic!

I've thought for a couple of years that he would make a good Bond. First I saw of him was in Solomon & Gaenor.

He was also the

crewman in the lifeboat that rescued Kate Winslet
in Titanic.

Misleading subject header. Implies that there's been an official announcement, when there hasn't.

The picture of him doesn't look very Bond-ish, IMO.

I couldn't agree more, not Bond-ish at all. More like Girl-ish, IMO

Well to me Brosnan isn't the reason they are shitty. That would be the writers, producers & MGM. According to IGN:

January 19, 2005 - Tomorrow never dies ... it just might not happen, at least not for a while. According to a report at Monsters & Critics, there is a rumored struggle between Eon Productions and MGM about the future direction of the James Bond franchise.

The site claims producer Barbara Broccoli agrees with (former?) Bond star Pierce Brosnan about the series and wants a "return to a plot and character driven formula, with more intelligent dialogue and a serious tone."

MGM, who bankrolls the 007 movies, reportedly "wants to maximize revenue on the cash cow and stick to the ever more spectacular stunts and effects." The impasse could delay production until at least 2006 and that's assuming differences can be resolved.

Monsters & Critics also disputes yesterday's news that Martin Campbell is signed, sealed and delivered to direct Bond 21.
I'm up for more Brosnan.

British radio poll to find best actor for next James Bond names... Pierce Brosnan

Radio 4 (UK) ran a listeners poll to determine who should play James Bond next, and the winner was... Pierce Brosnan!

Listeners to the station believe the search for the next 007 should ultimately lead back to Irishman 's door.

Brosnan, who has played Bond in four films since 1994 topped the poll, followed by Coventry-born King Arthur star Clive Owen.

Tied in third place were Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor; Hornblower's Ioan Gruffudd, news presenter Jeremy Paxman and Hex's Colin Salmon, the black actor tipped by Brosnan himself.

There were no votes for a female secret agent. Columnist Jenni Murray said: "We want Bond to be male, sexy and licensed to thrill."

The full results:
1. Pierce Brosnan
2. Clive Owen
3= Ewan McGregor
3= Colin Salmon
3= Ioan Gruffud
3= Jeremy Paxman
4= Jude Law
4= Matthew McFadyen

Suckekekeke, He's like one of those "it" actors like Colin Farrell except he lacks the acting ability, charisma and charm. Crappy choice moving on.

Well, since Ving Rhames is playing Kojak now, I suppose he could play Blofeld as well.
