Your #1 favorite movie of the 1980's thread!

There have been some truly great ones; "Empire Strikes Back", All the "Indiana Jones" films, "Amadeus", "Blade Runner", "Aliens", "Gandhi", among other great ones. Search your brain, search your heart, and search the internet to find the release of Your #1 favorite movie of the 1980's.

It was hard for me since my all time #1 happened in 1988 with "Die Hard" and now reading reviews for the new 2-Disc "Raging Bull" (1980) has made me ponder whether I want my all time favorite which is very much a 'leave your brain at the door' action-popcorn flick or a true marvel of American cinema. But remaining true to my passion, my #1 favorite movie of the 1980's...

..."Die Hard"

with "Raging Bull" a very, very close 2nd.

How bout you?

Since Amadeus is my favorite film period, I guess that is my answer here as well.

Raging Bull is definitely my favorite American film from the 80's, if not my all-time fav. but i'm also very, very keen on Wings of Desire. and i'm sure there are other films that I liked better but they aren't jumping to mind... oh yes, right, like The Decalogue!!!

Mine's Blade Runner. There's some fantastic movies from the 80s, but that's just my favorite. Of course, I much prefer the DC cut, so, not sure how that fits in really.
