That actually sounds like it mightve worked. I have never seen the comic book but I thought Elektra wasnt that bad. Only a few scenes in the movie I didnt like for example the movie started off with a serious tone then somewhere towards the middle there was this super cheesy scene where Garner starts twirling the sais around like a baton or something. That was one of the parts that totally killed it, laugh out loud funny. On par with Punisher imo, not bad but couldve been done alot better. That evil chick was pretty hot though :P

Deleted Affleck scene from Elektra

RopeOfSilicon.com has info about the forthcoming Elektra DVD, they also have the deleted Ben Affleck/Matt Murdock cameo. The scene was cut by the studio who feared another possible Gigli ‘Ben & Jen’ fiasco after it was learned the Daredevil & Elektra actors had begun dating.

Eh, finally saw this. Pretty terrible, not just bad but boring as well, the first half-hour or so is a painful slog. Second-worst recent Marvel adaptation, with #1 still going to that godawful "Punisher" flick.

Not a Marvel fanboy, but used to read comics 10+ years ago so I want Marvel movies to be good. I have bought the dvd for all the Marvel comic book movies since SM1 b/c I think I could see something worth owning in each of them (including Punisher and DD). I really wanted to find something in this film to like, but I think this one will break my run of Marvel dvds. I just can't see any reason (other than JG) to own this film.

Glad I didn't buy this. Elektra, Hulk, or Punisher, take your pick.

and how funny was it that dr kovach was there with a kid named abby

Meh. it was OK. Not great, nor really even good just, Ok. I actually have The Punisher, Hulk & now Elektra so, if I plan a bad Marvel movie night I'll invite you all over and include Blade: Trinity as well.
