DC has burned me so many times with awesome trailers and then the movie failed to deliver.

If this movie is as half as good as the trailers are, I will likely be satisfied. First DC movie I have been pumped for in a very long time!

You're right about the misleading trailers. I was similarly psyched for the first Suicide Squad and that was mostly a dud with a few good moments. Their first trailer with the Bee Gees cover was great.

Didn’t realize Jeremy Irons is in this as Alfred. Makes sense given that Affleck is in it. I actually grew to like his take on the character even though we didn’t see much of him in the role.

If this were Superman: Legacy or an intro adventure for the new DCU cast, I'd agree with you. This however is what's left of Walter Hamada's tenure with the DCEU (he's the one who pushed for Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Keaton as Batman, with the intention for this film to be the intro for an eventual Crisis on Infinite Earths movie that is no longer happening). So if it's a huge hit, it'll be a pre-reset hit with an added '90s nostalgia shot to the arm.

Got a ticket for the 15th. The Dolby Cinema auditorium is about 85% full right now for a 7pm show. I noticed the matinees still have plenty of seats, but of course everyone is still working.
