Also, DC characters are mean mothers, while Marvel characters are cool daddies. Meme slayed! (?)

Crazy, it's almost like... Superhero writers can't get past the "infantile power fantasy spurred by personal issues" (specifically the origin) aspect of the genre to tell a unique story.

Will be screening at CinemaCon in April. Should be a lot of reaction coming. WB must have a lot of confidence this will be a hit. Top Gun Maverick also screened there last April before it opened.

Looks like Tom Cruise really likes this movie. Of course, folk are posting claims this means that Tom Cruise is joining the DCU. At best, I expect he's simply eyeing Andy Muschietti as a potential director for one of his movies.

Re: The Flash (2023, D: Muschietti) - S: Miller, Keaton and Affleck

Sure, looks fine. Not sure how I feel about the rehash of Zod (which isn't a very interesting part of Man of Steel). At this point I am really just excited to see Keaton again. Though it looks like yet another Batwing gets destroyed. I don't know why moviemakers have an obsession with destroying Batman's vehicles 15 minutes after they are introduced. You watch something like The Animated Series and Batman has the Batmobile all the time.

I hope we get to see Supergirl kick all kinds of ass in this, from that trailer it looks like that may be the case.

Fuck Zaslov for killing this iteration of the DCU.

Super excited for Keaton, though I do hope they use alternate takes for his iconic lines. It's weird that both of them have had him staring directly into the camera.

Easy to argue that it needs to reboot. There isn't a lot of love for much other than Wonder Woman. Several of them are borderline Razzie Awards movies. As cool as Harley Quinn is to cosplay, the movie was barely enjoyable.

The Snyder cut is really good, and made me look at the Superman movies differently.

The Flash, starring Batman, Dark Haired Supergirl, the other Batman. Special appearance by The Flash.

(this is not a bad thing).

I guess they want Batman looking directly at the fans when he delivers his fan service lines.

To see Keaton's Batman in a modern setting is wild.

Can't wait for this. New trailer looked even more enticing. There should be a lot of reaction tonight from Cinemacon from the screening.

Of course the cynical will say any good comments are just paid off DC and WB shills. yeah and those people had to pay $1,280 each to attend Cinemacon. This is not a free event for "Reviewers" You have to pay good money to be there and pay for your own hotel.

I still just think it’s weird seeing Keaton’s Batman in a daylight scene.

The modern setting doesn’t throw me off so much. It’s weird that we’re going from last seeing that version of the character thirty-one years ago in Batman Returns to now but otherwise it’s cool.

Always wanted to see more of his character. Too bad it didn’t happen sooner so we could have gotten a proper third film.

Wow. That looks fantastic. Keaton looks more badass than his original two outings.

I would have been much more psyched to see the Keaton Batman back in the 1990s. I never understood why they didn't have Christopher Reeve's Superman meet Keaton's Batman in their own film together. The licensing issues must have been enormous.

I’d argue that makes them more susceptible to out-of-whack glowing reviews. Like the people who stood for days in the line for “The Phantom Menace” and ended up raving about it when they obviously had heatstroke.

Re: The Flash (2023, D: Muschietti) - S: Miller, Keaton and Affleck

I think Reeve didn’t really want to play Superman again. Also I think the studio was gun shy about bringing him back after Superman IV bombed. Then obviously he had his accident. So really I don’t think there was much of a chance for a crossover to have happened. Also I feel like crossovers weren’t as much of a thing back In those days.

The cynical or the usual MCU fanboys that gargle Marvel's balls every chance they get.
