As I said, I like him in the role but he's not beyond being replaced (unlike Gadot or Momoa).

I wouldn't hold my breath. Their script would have to be amazing for Warner to go in because Daley/Goldstein will likely walk and they'll have to find a new director (again) and the project will be delayed (again) until sometime next year, especially if Fantastic Beasts goes into production and Ezra Miller's schedule tightens up. Is he really worth it?
Eh, I'm ready to move on. Cast someone else and switch from Barry Allen to Wally West.

I’m not really a Grant Morrison fan so him writing a script with Miller (who I didn’t even know writes films?) doesn’t exactly excite me. I say ditch Miller and just start fresh like most everything else DC is doing.

If they are going to reboot ... go Silver Age and give us something from the ‘50s or ‘60s. We haven’t seen that (yet).

I’d be down with a Silver Age reboot. Give us Jay Garrick, maybe follow up with an Alan Scott Green Lantern movie, throw in Dr. Fate, and build towards a Justice Society movie. But they’d need to take their time like Marvel did and do it over several years.

That would be ... so awesome ... A damned creative approach to fixing what they have broken and achieving what they wanted to do.

It wasn't a very smart idea to even entertain the idea of letting your actor re-write the script to satisfy him. That sets a bad precedent when you've already hired a director/writer. I'm guessing the powers that be at WB/DC decided to cut their losses with Miller.

I'm not torn up over this. While I didn't mind him in JL at all, both parties need to move on. Like I said, might want to just re-write the script and make it the Wally West Flash.

'Flash' Shocker: 'It' Director Andy Muschietti in Talks to Tackle DC Movie (Exclusive)
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...-movie-1216021
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who wrote drafts of the script and were slated to direct the project, have moved on, however Ezra Miller, the actor who has long been attached to star as the fleet-footed hero, remains on board to star.
But in a further development, the studio won’t be moving forward with the script Miller co-wrote with comics author Grant Morrison. Instead, Warners will hire Christina Hodson, the scribe behind Bumblebee and the studio's upcoming DC movie, the Margot Robbie-fronted Birds of Prey, to tackle the script. The goal is to be in prep by January 2020.

I would have liked to have seen what Grant Morrison would do with The Flash.

I don't think we'll ever get an Ezra Miller Flash movie. I've heard that the studio got pitched two different proposals and they still don't know how they want to proceed. Ezra wanted to take it in a completely different direction with Morrison, scrapping the Flashpoint framework. It would have been a lot different than any Flash story we've seen before.

The story mentions Ezra Miller is still on and the hiring of Muschietti would suggest they are going with the darker approach Miller wanted.

I'm down for that. It's proven that Muschietti can do the horror genre proud, so let's see how he can handle a horror oriented Flash film. It: Chapter 2 is going to make sooooooo much money. He's golden over at WB.
