Just doing some quick googling, it seems like the last legit photo of Fonda was at the 2009 premiere of Inglourious Basterds. She still looks like the Bridget we all knew. I know it’s been close to 13 years since but I refuse to believe she changed THAT much.
she could put that much weight on easily in about 2 or 3 years if she doesn’t keep active. And any woman approaching 60 would have grey hair if they don’t dye it.

Man, I used to rub out loads to her nude scenes in Single White Female and the open matte Jackie Brown.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

Y'all are so adorable, why feel sorry for her? If that is her it looks like a woman who no longer has to live her life having to constantly look like a bombshell to get work in Hollywood, but she now has enough money, a husband, and family and just decided to enjoy her life. Eat what she wants, and just not care if a bunch of ageing Fonda fanboys are annoyed that she has let herself go. I would be willing to bet that if she really wanted back in the limelight that any half-way good personal trainer could thin her down, but if she is 60 and her natural hair color is gray, I do not see her getting back to a point where folks would want to rub one out if they saw her in a film, that is not the type of role she would be offered, thick or thin, anyway.

Also, I remember that she was quoted as saying c'mon to the film director when she was in the La Femme Nikita remake, where the camera lingered on all these hot bodies in Venice and it made her feel insecure, I bet she is happy not to have to care about how she looks in front of the camera now.

ETA: I get if folks, there are the J Los, and even Ming Na Wen's who have kept it high and tight (that is the saying, right), but J Lo is still very much in front of the camera (even has a new film coming out), and Ming Na Wen is starring in one of the hotter shows on TV right now, The Book Of Bobba Fett, so they are probably more conscious of their image than they might normally be if they decided to retire from Hollywood and went the recluse route or the raise a family away from the cameras route.

The fuck I am not what? I didn't say a thing about her weight. I said her face is unrecognizable. Even when people posted pictures of Kelly LeBrock years ago, and they were discussing her weight, I said she was still pretty. And looked the same.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

If that is her I wonder if she still did movies it would not have ended up like that and she would look a lot better.

I remember her interview with Jay Leno and she seems like a nice person.

I stand by my first post. Nothing has been made public to substantiate the claim that the woman is Bridget Fonda, and I personally am unwilling to accept the word of the UK Daily Mail at face value.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

Maybe she's had some health problems? Otherwise, she definitely took a different approach to retirement than Phoebe Cates.
I was expecting her to look roughly like a 58 year old.. not 68.

I hope I don't let myself go that much in 6 years.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

Phoebe Cates lives a public life, attends premiere with her husband and concerts with her daughter. Bridget Fonda has shunned the public eye for over a decade and hasn't worked in two. I feel pretty bad that her privacy was invaded with an unwelcome and unflattering picture done by a tabloid. She's earned the right to live a private life if that's what she wanted.
I felt the same about that recent Gene Hackman picture. We feel like our favorite celebrities owe us access but they really don't, especially if they clearly want to be left alone.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

I can’t believe she’s 58! Bridget will always be in her mid-to-late 20s to me.

I never realized she was that much older than me.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

For the last time, anyone who doesn’t have those genes where you just don’t gain weight no matter how much you eat, anyone could look like that after a few years of not working out or even walking a few times a week.

That’s what happens. It’s just shocking to a lot of us because we haven’t seen her in more than a decade.

Yea, she looks pretty bad in the photo. I’m sure she doesn’t love it. But it happens.

I always thought that when Tara Spencer-Nairn was a little younger, she looked like Bridget Fonda.

I have those genes

I was talking with the barber and told her I got my wisdom teeth pulled out in 2005 and she said that was probably when you were young and I was 31 back then

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

The positive thing for her is that she can go anywhere and not have to worry about being recognized. That may be another reason she decided to let it all go.

Can you edit this post to let us know how attractive the barber was and note the DTV movie you watched that night so we can have the most Jeff post ever posted? For posterity's sake.

Re: What happened to Bridget Fonda?

She was in a pretty bad car accident (roll over) back in 2003 and it messed up her back. I'm pretty sure she hasn't felt much like exercising, and since she "retired" back in 2002, I'm guessing she decided she didn't have to watch what she ate anymore to get roles like she had to before.

I bet we don't see much of her out in public again after her "birthday spread" came out yesterday. I feel bad for her with all the crap she's getting for "letting herself go" now that she's been seen at 58 years old with her mid-life, menopausal figure and graying hair and in comfortable, casual clothes (basically the same types I wear since I'm a year behind her and have the same body type).

And its not like Danny Elfman is complaining. Then again neither is Pierce Brosnan in regards to his wife Keeley Smith - who also gained a bit of weight over the course of their marriage.

Actually I do have it saved on my desktop. It's one of my all time favs. I just can't get enough of the comical face drawing. I always get a good laugh.
