The Manson Family
Saw this tonight, and I gotta say, I thought it was awesome!
Exploitation at it's grittiest. Naked hippies, LSD trips, bad acting, incoherent narrative direction, lots of blood - perfect in every way.
I only wish it was summer, and there were drive in theaters open.

IMO, this is probably the most amateurish production of the year, and one of the most painful to sit through.

SKELETON wins out in the end because I wanted to poke my eyes out during the film. MANSON, I just wanted to poke them out afterwards. A big difference.
Get this, the film actually started shooting in 1988 (!!!), and continued over the years. I can only assume that's why the film is a complete and utter incoherent mess. I admire its Herschel Gordon Lewis spirit, but weep for anyone who elects to sit through it.
