A good portion of JFK (the Oliver Stone movie) is set in New Orleans, where Jim Garrison was District Attorney.

Re PRETTY BABY: the "house" was set in an actual hotel that is still there out on St. Charles somewhere near the Garden District.

I lived in New Orleans for 8 years (this place is my second hometown), 2 months ago, I moved to my home country, Korea, permanently. I already miss great spicy cajun food over there, the night life of French quarter, and the Jazz music in every corner of the French quarter, especially Preservation Hall Jazz.

Some I know :

Cat People
Pelican Brief
A street car named desire
Double Jeorpardy
JFK
Interview with Vampire

Mondo Kane 09-20-04 01:20 AM

J.D.'s Revenge

DonnachaOne 09-20-04 01:25 AM

USA Network's Frankenstein

I think the James Bond Live and Let Die had some New Orleans shots.

flixtime 09-20-04 09:22 AM

Heaven's Prisoners starring Alec Baldwin. Not just New Orleans, it also features some sweet shots of Teri Hatcher's architecture as well.

The Client was largely filmed in Memphis. Susan Sarandon's house in the movie was four houses down from where I grew up. My parents actually considered buying the house that was in the movie when it was on the market back in the early 80's.

Clint Eastwood's Tightrope is a great
New Orleans film.

svrasputin 09-23-04 10:56 PM

Easy Rider Totally forgot that Wyatt and Billy's trip is to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. There's some very interesting shots of parades and the above ground graves.

Having lived in Louisiana all my life, you'd think I'd know more movies about New Orleans.......
