Shark Tale just gives me more of a Father of the Pride vibe than a Shrek vibe. Of course, my initial impression of the first Shrek based off the trailers was that it would be horrible, so who knows?

This will be the ANTS of the animated fish story battle between Finding nemo.

It's big names aren't going to be doing much to draw folks in. I think it will do a 30 million pull at the most.

I concur. I'm big short on Shark Tale also. I'm a little long on Ladder 49.

I also went big short on Taxi after seeing the trailer. Now its getting some good buzz. ick.

looks like SHRKS is a short unless it makes a big turnaround on Sat and Sun.

Also LAD49 might be a long.

I wish I had kept my short on SHRKS.

I also think less people are playing.

What is everyone thinking about this weekends movies?

I hope TAXI is a short. I fear it will be a long

RVOIC looks like a short to me although who knows maybe Hilary can make it into a long.

FRINL looked like a long to me although if the Regal news is true it could tip it into a short.

I still think it will manage a LAD49 type weekend.

Yea, if you look at your league a lot of people have weekly changes of less than .01 %. Seems interest is waning for quite a few people. Maybe a roll call is in order to weed out those that have lost interest as opposed to those that still find this interesting?

As for the openers, IMO: (at current prices)

Taxi, unfortunately, will probably be a long. Needs 13.5 mil.

Raise your Voice, likely a short. Needs about 7.6 mil.

Friday Night Lights, tough one to call. With football season in full swing, I bet it will make close to 20 mil, which would make it a long since it curently needs close to 17 mil to break even.

Also gcribbs, what is this Regal news you speak of?

Was some talk that Regal theaters are fighting with Universal and may not release Friday Night Lights this weekend on some of their biggest theaters(top 50 or so)

I have no idea if this is true or just a rumor. The person posting it is supposed to be in the Industry so it might be true.

With the lower screen count that Taxi got I think this will end up being a short.

Just in case anyone does not go to the HSX boards.

AMGST is dead. Universal pulled the plug on it.

Well, I'm in the no.2 spot after a long time - probably 'cause JasonF has stopped playing.

As of now, I'm short on TAXI and FRINL. Will have to re-evaluate in about 9 hours. I probably won't take a position on RVOIC - no idea how it'll play.

I didn't even bother with this weekend. Of course I will be kicking myself if my predictions prove accurate.

TAXI +2.75
FRINL +5.75
RVOIC -8.45
SHAUN -2.4

I am shocked at TAXI. The movie looked so bad.

This is based on what people posted of the adjusts on HSX. I am too lazy to redo their numbers

I suspect the red will turn into black if you hold your short

Slightly bad weekend for me, as I shorted TAXI and was long on SHAUN. I dropped half a mil. but I've gained most of it back today.

TEAMA is looking very tempting for a short but I'm not going to touch it just yet.
