Please help me identify this foreign film

I remember this film being recommended on Ebert and Roeper. Its about this family man who kidnaps a kid and hides him in a shed near his farm. His son eventually sees this news story and suspects his father is involved. Anyone know this title. I heard its real disturbing.

Is it Italian? Could it be that "I'm Not Scared" movie that had such annoying trailers?
