I'll have to check again. This is probably something that was overlooked by the editors or director.

No, you're right. He did it after Selina took Michael. He was alone in the elevator when he expelled the bullets. But biting MC was only to get the sample for the Doctor. He spit the blood in the vial afterwards and the bite had no effect on Lucian.

Personally I didn't think the vampires were that weak. I think they were just easily beaten because they weren't training and keeping their hunting skills high. Its been centuries since they're had to fight a real lycan force and apparently they just drink animal blood now. Basically they've been living a pampered high society life. Those who continue to hunt lycans like the death dealers, (Selene), hold their own pretty well against even transformed werewolves.

This web page has some updates and new pictures from the Vancouver shoot:
http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/...nderworld2.php
Check out the pics showing the war when it was legions of werewolves fighting an army of vampires on horseback, invading their castle. I tried to link them, but it would not work.

What's with all the posts with "Corvinus?" His name was:
<-----
And before you think it is lame to name my account after that character, check the join date. Michael Corvin is actually a Crow reference.

I'm surprised that piece of crap is getting so much love here on the forum. I'm still seeing blue after watching that movie theatrically. Hope they expand their palette this time around.

However, he is a direct descendant of the Corvinus family. Somewhere along the line the "us" was dropped at the end of the family name.

I liked the first one although it was too dependent on the gun-play. The only thing I didn't really care for other than that was the horrid actor they chose for Kraven and the weak female vampire elder (as previously mentioned by several of you).
I'm up for a sequel.

I thought underworld was a decent enough genre flick. There were some things I didn't care for, such as, oh, CPR on vampires, and Scott Speedman is one of the more bland actors I've ever seen get a starring role. But Kate Beckinsdale in tight leather is nice, the action is amusing, and admittingly the filmmakers have a knack for getting some great production value out of a tight budget.
So, I'll watch a sequel. It's decent entertainment. Sure it draws heavily on the stylistic influences of Blade/Matrix movies, but it works as a decent genre actioner.

the "love story" just seemed so tacked on and forced. and since half the movie is spent explaining to the audience how important (and in the action sequences, powerful) the elders are, it was a definite oversight for the female elder to get bagged without any real struggle. a simple 2 minute fight scene where she frags 4 or 5 werewolves first before getting taken down by a lupine elder would have gone a long way to tightening up the storyline.
although really the whole michael corvin/abomination thing was pretty corny imo
id watch a sequel in the theatre though

I'm totally excited about this new movie. Apparently the first 20 minutes will be a prequel of sorts. We'll get to see Marcus for the 1st time and Amelia will hava bigger part in the new movie.

I kinda liked this movie but somehow, for me, it left a little something to be desired. I can't even place my finger on it. I saw it with my then-girlfriend in the theater and we both felt the same way. We are both avid vampire fans and dig the whole werewolf vibe too (and K. Beckinsale ) so I was surprised I came out with that all too familiar "I liked it... kinda" feeling. One thing I know that did bother me was the way the crossbred Corvin looked at the end. Pretty schlocky to me.
Anyway I'm rooting for a better sequel and will be catching it on the big-screen.

Well, with the success of the 1st movie comes a bigger budget so we'll see.

I didn't even bother looking around for the English version.
Those pics show a lot of Amelia...err...aahh...whatever her real name is.
She's got a bangin' body for an elder.
Ewwww, yuck! Did I just say that?!

I'm looking forward to this.
So, to coincide with the release of the sequel, do you suppose we'll get a brand new Underword: Yes-This-Time-We're-Releasing-A-REAL-Director's-Cut-Edition plus a free movie ticket?
