It's funny how you compare (mainly) the appearance of Moore vs. what Lucas has done wrong as a creator/director.

George Lucas wins.
Wow, if he's that bad it makes me wonder why you even like the original trilogy

Again with the "Hey, the Original three sucked as well!" nonsense. Sure the acting was dodgy at times(due mostly to Hamill) but overall it still puts the performances by competent actors in the prequels to shame. Ford, Fisher, Guiness, Cushing and even Billy Dee Williams were excellent. And as for the other misgivings I mentioned, the pacing is superior as well and there is more emotion in Han's descent into the carbon chamber than both prequels combined. Oh and by the way, in case you've somehow missed it for the past two decades.....Lucas directed only one of the original three.

Rivero out.

Again with what nonsense? I never said the Original Trilogy sucked. You made comments about Lucas' directing abilities in general. I see no indication of any specific reference in your earlier post to a seperation of his work between the Original Trilogy and the Prequels. Thus, when you say "Lucas seems to have absolutely no concept of pace, acting, convincing dialogue or human emotion" i'd assume you're talking about all of Lucas' works. Funny that you're quick to defend the originals so vehemently.

Rivero In.

When I saw the thread, I was sure the "Micheal" (sic) of the title was Michael Winner, the notorious creator of Death Wish among other morally dubious works. He's certainly one of the most hated directors in the world.

Who cares? They are both more rich and famous than any of us internet nerds will ever be, and do you think they waste their time discussing who of us sucks more? No wonder they call us nerds.

At least Moore presents movies that actually entertain with thought provoking ideas which is more than I can say for Lucas lately. People can say Moore lied all they want but he is just presenting info regarding the current administration.

The Truth hurts.

Ok, good. I mentioned my misgivings with his ability as a filmmaker and you brought up the original trilogy. I took this as your saying the original three had problems with acting, pacing, dialogue, etc. What I was responding to was the common occurence by numerous so-called Star Wars fans who downplay the quality of the original three as a way of defending the abysmal new prequels and attempting to convince others that they are not so different. As in, "Hey! The original three has bad dialogue and lousy acting too! That's what makes it Star Wars!" I thought that's what you were doing. And no, I wasn't talking about ALL of his works(that'd be too general for such a massive and eclectic filmography as his. 5 movies in 35 years, Whew!). It should've been clear that my complaints were in reference to his two recent films, and that the Lucas of 2004 is a different person then the Lucas of 1977.
