Interesting Casting in Batman Begins (Spoiler Material)

Superhero Hype got a hold of one of the call sheets for Batman Begins. If you want to skip the hype, swipe below.

Spoiler:
The cast list for the day includes a "T. Welling" playing the part of "Kent".

It may or may not be true, according to the website.

I doubt it. That would go into the mix of Worlds Finest. I would really dislike this nod. Might as well have Hal Jordan flying planes at some air show on smallville.

fixed ;)

If that's in any way true, big  from me. It's probably no more than a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo but will still put a smile on a lot of people's faces.

Has Nolan ever mentioned anything about being involved with sequels in the future? Maybe
Spoiler:
a Batman/Superman duel from the novels could be see the light someday?
. at the thought. I hope we get a Harvey Dent or Kirk Langstrom cameo.

If true, I guess this answers the "What vs. movie will we see next" thread posted a few days ago. :D

devilshalo 08-24-04 04:13 PM

Maybe they're up to giving Nolan World's Finest which Wolfgang Petersen was supposed to direct.

fumanstan 08-24-04 04:43 PM

Maybe this is what Welling meant when he said that he signed on for a movie (see Superman thread).

It would be interesting to see a young Clark Kent in Batman Begins cross the path of Bruce Wayne, especially if he's played by Welling, regardless of whether or not Welling goes on the play Supes in the Superman movie.

I hope we get a Harvey Dent
But will it be a black or white dent?

Ooooh, that'd be the perfect Two-Face. Like those dudes from Star Trek:

I recall hearing rumors for a couple of years that a young Bruce Wayne might make an appearance on Smallville. Also, if I remember correctly, one of the Smallville producers also mentioned the possibility in an interview.

Jackskeleton 08-25-04 02:02 AM

yeah, that was one of the rumors floating around. that it would be a young bruce. I still would rather see a homage to other dc characters. perhaps a Wally West/ Clark kent race? ;) ;)

NAH ,its already confirmed that Bart Allen will be on smallvile next season.

Jackskeleton 08-25-04 02:43 AM

What next? The Flying Graysons show up in a local circus stop?

Hokeyboy 08-25-04 10:53 AM

Wouldn't that be great if Kent were visited from three teenages from the future?

MAJOR POSSIBLE UPCOMING SMALLVILLE SPOILERS BELOW

Spoiler:
Funny you bring that up because rumors are that Bart Allen is going to be on the 5th episode of Smallville this upcoming year. The scuttlebutt is WB wants to start up a Flash series akin to Smallville in scope.

Nevermind...someone already spoiled it.

Ruderic 08-28-04 10:09 AM

Who's Bart Allen? Shouldn't it be Barry Allen?

Giantrobo 08-28-04 10:18 AM

I hope it's true. I've long advocated DC hero cameos in DC hero movies and that other comic book company's heroes in that other comic book company's movies.
